Highstreet Date Night Fashion

Hello lovelies!

Happy Monday! I hope you are all having a lovely start to your week. Today I am going to share with you my outfit which I wore on my three-year anniversary date. I have had quite a few requests to do this post since I posted a few photos from the event on my Instagram.

Jacket – (New Look – £39.99)

  • It’s a faux suede biker jacket style with a pin-buckle belt. This jacket has been a staple within my wardrobe so far this season. I mentioned this jacket before in a post, but I just absolutely love it. It looks so simple and classy for a date night and can either be dressed up or down which is great because it means it so versatile.

Top – (New Look £19.99)

  • I bought this top purely for our three-year anniversary date night. The day before, I went around shopping and I ended up in New Look again. This top is not typically my style and is definitely not something that I would usually go for, but I am so glad I stepped out of my comfort zone and decided to purchase it. It is a lovely velvet, keyhole crop top. It has tie back fastening along with big flutter sleeves which hang really nicely. The fit is really comfortable, and I just paired if with a high-waisted skirt and it looked so pretty. It is definitely going to be appropriate for the Christmas party season, so I know I will get a tonne more wear out of it. Other than that, I just thought it was the perfect top for my date.

Belt – (Next)

  • My belt is just a simple, plain leather belt from Next with a silver buckle. It is actually the only belt that I own, and I wear it with absolutely everything because I can never find anything to fit both my hips and waist. It is honestly such a nightmare! I love the simplicity of the belt and I just think it ties all outfits together really nicely.

Skirt – (Missguided £20)

  • As always, I paired the outfit with my black, distressed denim mini skirt. I wear this all the time because I am just not into dresses at the moment, so I find this to be a good alternative. I find high-waisted skirts or jeans paired with crop tops to be really flattering on my body type. I have honestly lived in this skirt for the past two months. It is such a staple piece in your wardrobe and I am so excited to continue to wear it over winter with tights and boots.

Boots – (New Look £27.99)

  • I have been after a pair of black, heeled boot for ages and, so I was really happy when I found these ones. They fit great and are so comfortable to wear. They have a 3-inch block heel, so you can wear them in the day or the evening. They are a lovely soft suedette finish with elasticated side design. I just think these boots are so appropriate for this time of the year and so easy to wear on a date night.

Clutch bag – (Nine West £69)

  • To finish off my outfit I paired it with this beautiful snake-skin finish, black clutch bag. I love this clutch bag because it has a wrist strap which just makes it so easy to carry and I much prefer this. This just finished off my outfit nicely and it made it easy to carry everything I needed.

Thank you so much for reading and I really hope you have enjoyed this style post. I know I don’t do a lot of fashion posts, but let me know if you would like to see them on here more in future. I think they are really fun posts to write. Leave me a comment letting me know what has been your autumn/winter staple piece. Until next time. Much love,

Lizzie X
