My Current Favourite Skin Care Products

Hello lovelies!

Today I wanted to write a post sharing my current favourite skin care products. Skin care has definitely been something that I become more invested in and have really started to invest in quality products which work well with my skin type and take care of my skin. When I was younger, I definitely did not appreciate the importance of skin care and I don’t know whether that was my lack of interest or just because there was less platforms available for you to research and read reviews on products so you could make well informed decisions. Perhaps it was a little bit of both – I don’t know. Either way, now I appreciate the importance of skin care, I have been making a massive effort to concentrate on my skin and make sure I am not being lazy and looking after my skin properly even if I am tired, because honestly it is so important and it makes such a difference to your health and your daily life. Getting into a good skincare is one of the best habits to develop!

The first product I would like to mention is the Neutrogena Visibly Clear Pink Grapefruit Gel Wash. I really get along with this face wash and at the moment I am completely obsessed and I really enjoy using it. The face wash is supposed to eliminate spots and blackheads as well as making your skin feel refreshed and clean. I must say, this product does exactly that. It smells amazing and is a lovely and gentle formula which is fantastic because I have sensitive skin and in the past I have experienced numerous allergic reactions to face washes because they have been too strong, however, with this one I can use it daily and I have no issues. I have noticed a difference in skin since I have started using this and my skin just feels so refreshed and clean without feeling dry. Would definitely recommend this product!

If you know me at all, you know I always have dry skin and dry lips – I don’t know why but I always do! Now that we are coming into the winter months my lips have started to become a lot more dry and sore and I absolutely hate it. They bleed and become really swollen and I can tell you that it really isn’t cute or pretty! However, I have been using the EOS lip balms and I love them. The formula is so soothing and smooth and it really has helped me combat sore lips. I love the smell of the product and really love how they feel on the lips. Lip balms are definitely one of my essentials which I cannot live without. I really do like the EOS lip balms and they are one of my favourite along with my Burts Bees in Pomegranate. Plus how cute are they?!?! So cute – LOVE THEM!

On the theme of dry skin, I have recently started using the Soap and Glory Righteous Butter and OMG this thing is amazing and I wish I had discovered this sooner! As always, with Soap and Glory Products, it smells absolutely amazing – I cannot even describe! It not only smells incredible, but it feels amazing on the skin and is so moisturising. My skin has felt the best it has in ages and I absolutely love this product. I hate moisturising but when I use this I actually look forward to it because my skin just feels so incredibly soft and hydrated. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it!!

Soap and Glory is definitely one of my favourite skincare brands because they are so affordable and the product quality is always amazing and is definitely worth the money. Therefore, it will probably come as no surprise to you all, that I have been obsessed with the Soap and Glory Scrub of your life. Again, with having sensitive skin, I normally have issues with exfoliating scrubs because quite often they are too harsh for my skin and I just end up coming out with rashes all over my body which is not cute at all and painful. However, the formula of this is fantastic and I can use happily on my skin and don’t have any reactions to it. Of course it smells amazing but it also does an amazing job at removing the dead skin cells and making your skin feel amazing as well as looking refreshed and hydrated. This paired with the Righteous Butter is an unbelievable combination and I just love it!

Finally, I have the NSPA Skin Glow Mud Mask. This is charcoal mask which unblocks pores as well as purifying and clearing the skin. I have been using this for a couple of months now and I have really enjoyed using it everyday. I usually do a face mask once a week or twice if I have time, however, you can also use this product as a spot treatment and so if I have blemishes I will use this on them. I think it works really well and have noticed a difference in my skin. Again, it is great for sensitive skin and after use I always find my skin looking brighter, more hydrated and it feel so soft and smooth. I really like this face mask product and will continue to use it!

I hopeyou have enjoyed this post and perhaps even found it somewhat useful. All these products are inexpensive and worth investing in, I believe. They have honestly changed my skin care rountine and I love using them. Let me know if you have any oher skin care products which you would recommend because I am always looking for new products to try and test. Thank you for reading and I will see you soon. Much love,

Hey guys!

Today I just wanted to share with you some photos from my 24 hour visit to Dublin yesterday. Just incase you were wondering – yes I am exhausted!! My boyfriend and I, last week, spontaneously decided to book a day trip to Dublin because we wanted to visit! I had such a lovely time yesterday. We had a full day of things planned and lucky for us the weather was dry and sunny, except for around 10 minutes when it rained so hard and we had to take shelter. It was super cold though, especially when we were on the tour in the morning!

Why did we just go to Dublin for the day? Simple answer was because flights are cheap from where we live and they only take approximately 40 minutes! Also, I am obsessed with travelling as you all know and I want to try and see as much of the world as possible and to be honest this was one my favourite trips because it was so spontaneous and different.

When we arrived, we got the Airline 747 Express from the Airport to the city centre with a return price of 12 Euros. If you are travelling to Dublin and not hiring a car, I would definitely recommend this service because it super affordable especially in comparison t the taxis and only takes about 30/40 minutes. The staff are also really friendly and helpful and will help inform you about the stops so you know which one you need to get off at!

The first thing we had planned for the day was the Viking Splash Tour. I had read so many reviews about this and was informed that it was a great tour to go on and because we were only there for 24 hours, we really wanted to get to see as much as possible. The tour itself was absolutely fantastic and I would recommend this 100%. It was so lively, engaging and absolutely hilarious. The tour is actually both land and water based. The first half of the tour, they drive you around the city showing you many of the famous parts and informing you of the history of Ireland. The second of the tour they take you on water and show you the U2 recording studios, for example. It honestly was such a fantastic tour and I loved the fact that it was both land and water based – it just added something to the tour which made it stand out from regular bus tours!

After that we went sightseeing and then stopped at Hard Rock Cafe for lunch. I really enjoyed eating lunch there and it has to be one of my favourite restaurants to eat at! I love the atmosphere and the food always tastes amazing!

For the afternoon we spent time around the Guinness Storehouse, finding out how Guinness was made and sampling it too. (On your ticket you get a voucher for a free pint – if you aren’t a drinker don’t worry because you can get a free soft drink instead). The storehouse is absolutely huge and there is so much to do there and see – you could spend absolutely ages there. They really have spent a lo of time making it interactive and it is finished off to an excellent standard. Again I would definitely recommend going here if you pay a visit to Dublin at some point! Well worth the money!

Next, we headed to the Temple Bar because I had read so many great reviews about this place and it was so lovely. Pints were obviously super expensive but that was to be expected. The pub itself is so quaint an pretty and I am glad we got time to enjoy this place!

For the remaining of the day we went and walked down by the River Liffey and then over the Ha’penny Bridge. We were actually going to head to Jameson’s Disterilly but as it started to rain we decided togo into th shopping centre and shop for the rest of time until we got the bus back!

I had so much fun in Dublin and really enjoyed experiencing another city. It was super cute and it a lot different to what I was expecting which I really enjoyed! I would really like to go back to explore even more and see the castle etc. but yesterday we actually got so much done and saw so many amazing and cool places! I can’t even begin to list all the amazing sights you get to see on the Viking Splash Tour – it’s incredible!

Thank you so much for reading and I really hope you have enjoyed reading about my visit to Dublin and what I managed to do in 24 hours there. I had such an amazing time and thank you to my Boyfriend for coming with me and for making the day really special. If you have been to Dublin let me know about your experiences there or if you haven’t been, let mw know whether you would like to and what you would like to go and see! Much love,

Weekly Review: L’Oreal Miss Baby Roll Mascara

Hello lovelies!

Today I am back with another review post because I, personally, really enjoy writing them and I find these kinds of posts helpful and useful when I am thinking about purchasing a new product.  I have also recently decided to make this a series and to write a review every week, so let me know if you think that is a good idea or if you have any products (makeup, fashion, hair, entertainment etc.) that you would like to see a review on and I will do my best to get those up for you.

Anyway, today I am going to be reviewing the L’Oréal Miss Baby Roll Mascara. As you all know, I am a huge fan of L’Oréal and their makeup and skincare product. For a drugstore brand, I think their products, in general, are amazing. They are such excellent quality and really reasonably priced. This mascara is no different. It is just as good and in fact probably my favourite mascara by them now!

Firstly, a price point for this mascara is £7.99, which is obviously such a great price especially when compared to the higher end mascaras which are usually £20 upwards.  It definitely is very affordable which I think is fantastic, especially for everyday wear.

Secondly, I actually really like the packaging of the mascara. I think it is beautiful. Very girly and gives off that cute and unique vibe which I really like. It feels like good quality and is simple but effective and honestly have no complaints about it. I know some people have criticised the packaging, claiming that it looks young and for children, however, I really don’t think that matters and I like the different twist they have taken on things and don’t think that will be an issue marketing wise because the product is so good!

To be honest with you all, I have definitely gone through my fair share of mascaras over the years trying to find the perfect one. I have definitely have had some bad results but I have also found some that I really love, unfortunately for me they tended to be high end. My three favourites before discovering this mascara were Benefit’s They’re Real and Rollerlash and then Chanel Inimitable Intense volume, all of which are super expensive but incredible products. I actually have found this Miss Baby Rolle mascara to be so comparable to all those three I have just mentioned and so I was so happy – I cannot tell you!!

This mascara adds a tonne of volume and length to your lashes as well holding a curl. In all honesty, I don’t even bother with an eye lash curler when using this mascara because I don’t need one. I naturally have long eyelashes but they aren’t the darkest or thickest for this mascara actually make the most different to my eyelashes it is insane. It really does define, lengthen and volumize all of your lashes without creating clumps.

I really like the wand of the mascara as well. It is quite a big wand but it still manages to grab hold of every tiny lash you have, but it also applies a really good coat of mascara on the first application so you don’t feel the need to keep applying and thus creating the risk of them becoming really clumpy.  The formula is really black and definitely not a wishy-washy black colour like some inexpensive mascaras can be. I have also found it to be really long lasting throughout the day and the waterproof one is definitely waterproof. I used that when I was on vacation in Portugal and had no issues in the swimming pool, waterpark or whilst showering. It stayed on really well and looked amazing still. Also, I have had no issues with this mascara flaking throughout the day or transferring onto my lids.

I honestly don’t have a bad thing to day about this mascara. I think it is absolutely insane and just so good! I love this so much and it has been my go to mascara since June! I love everything about it and have gotten along with it so well. It is definitely worth the money and I would recommend it to anyone – definitely!!!!

Rimmel Lasting Finish Foundation 25hr wear Review

Hello everyone!

Welcome back to my blog and today I am back with another beauty post. It feels like the longest time since I sat down and have done a blog post around beauty and makeup and reviewing a product, yet strangely enough, they are one of my favourites to write. You see, sometimes I am not all that adventurous when it comes to buying new products because I fear wasting my money and just tend to repurchase the same products which I know work well with my skin and ones which I absolutely love. Am I the only one like this? Consequently, that means that I don’t tend to buy new products all that often and therefore don’t write may reviews because I feel like they would be boring because I would just be reviewing a bunch of products which I know well and love and so they will appear all the same. However, I realise now that probably doesn’t matter to most people because not everyone will have tried the product I am talking about and thus might find it somewhat useful to have an informative review of a product before purchasing, because I for one, certainly appreciate that.  Therefore, to end this extremely long introduction full of ramble, I have decided I am going to review products more often.

Strangely enough, today, the product I am reviewing is new. I purchased this foundation around two weeks ago now and wanted to properly give it a chance before writing this review.  In all honesty, I don’t tend to wear foundation at all, as many of you will know if you have been reading my blog for the past year. I am not a huge fan of the way foundation feels and sits on my skin and prefer to go for something a little less heavy on the skin like a tinted moisturiser. Also, when I do wear foundation is does tend to be a high end one because it is normally just worn for special occasions, however, I have tried a Rimmel Foundation before. I used to wear the Rimmel True Match foundation and got on with that so well. It was great for my skin and provided good coverage and was a great alternative for not having to wear and use my expensive foundations if I felt some days I needed a little more coverage in the day because I was having bad skin day or week. Don’t lie, we all have them!

Anyway, I ran out of that foundation and so when I was in Boots the other week, I was really tempted to stick to my ways and purchase that foundation again. However, for some reason I felt a little crazy and picked up a different one for a try. I stuck with Rimmel purely because I had used a foundation by them before and loved it and because the L’Oréal one I did want to try didn’t have my shade available in store.  I had also heard and read good reviews about this products from numerous beauty gurus and articles and thought why not – let’s give it a try!

First thing, a price point for this product is £.7.99 so it is super affordable and a great drugstore price. I know makeup can be expensive but in my opinion, this is really affordable.

My first impressions were that I liked the packaging and I thought the glass bottle was nice and seemed sturdier for travelling over the plastic bottles you can get which unfortunately tend to leak more than the glass ones and I don’t really know why.  I liked the fact it comes with a pump because I think that it makes application a lot easier and quicker. Overall, I think the finish and packaging is great. Very simple and classic but does the correct job.

In terms of the actual foundation, it is a full coverage foundation so as you would expect it is quite thick but is still very creamy and smooth. For reference, I tend to use one full pump because I don’t like a tonne of makeup on my face for everyday wear but obviously if I am having a bad week and my skin is being problematic like it has been these past two weeks then I am going to want to wear a foundation for coverage. (Thank you for your suggestions on skincare products for problematic skin over my Twitter – they were so helpful!!) Anyway, so far, I have been really impressed by this foundation.

The foundation itself is high coverage like it says and does eliminate redness, blemishes and spots.  It blends out super well and gives a really nice even coverage to skin. I tend to blend out with a brush initially and then go over with my beauty blender to make sure it is completely even and not cakey anywhere. When I saw how thick the foundation was I was worried that it was going to be really cakey and drying and sit into my pores, however, it is nice and nourishing on skin and my skin still feels super soft and moisturised – not dry at all. I am also pleasantly surprised by the fact that it doesn’t fall into your pores and open them out but does just apply evenly to your face and minimise your pores. A big plus for me is that I haven’t found the foundation particularly cakey either which I really like because I was worried that it was going to feel really heavy on my skin.

I have worn this foundation without primer and setting sprays and it has lasted all the way to the evening even when I have applied my makeup early in the morning. It still looks great at the end of the day. It does look slightly worse in my t-zone, but not so bad that I couldn’t still wear the makeup and look extremely patchy. In terms of it lasting for 25 hours, I don’t know on that one! I haven’t tested that out! It stayed perfectly fine thought when I have been out at parties and dancing all night and has also lasted through hot summer days on hikes when I have been sweating a bit – TMI??? I don’t know – maybe – sorry!!! I Haven’t felt the need to reapply powder throughout the day and I genuinely have felt comfortable with this foundation on my skin.

Overall, I am super impressed with this foundation and I have really enjoyed wearing it and have got along with it really well. Personally, I would recommend this foundation to people who are looking for a more budget-friendly, full coverage, long lasting foundation because it does all of those things. So far, I have tried 2 Rimmel foundations and I have been thoroughly impressed with both so I would 100% recommend giving this a try if you are in search of a new foundation. If you have already tried this foundation or know of other foundations similar then please let me know your thoughts and opinions in the comments below or what foundations you recommend and are your go to on a daily basis. Thank you so much for reading and as always, I hope this has been of some use to someone and that you have enjoyed reading this post and has helped inform you little bit more about this product. Much love,

July Favourites

Hello!

Happy August everyone! I actually cannot   believe we are already in August, 2017 is going by so quickly! With an end of a month and the start of a new one follows a favourites post and so today I am going to be sharing with you everything that I have loved and used daily throughout the month of July.

  • Urban Decay Smoky Palette –  I love Urban Decay makeup products and recently I have been completely OBSESSED with this palette! I have used this palette every time I worn eyeshadow throughout July. I love the variety in shades and the quality of the eyeshadows are amazing, as you would expect. They are extremely pigmented and blend super easy. I have been using this palette to create a mixture of both daytime looks and evening looks and have been in love with all them!
  • Vaseline Aloe Vera Moisturiser –  If you read my last post you will know that I have been trying to really take care of body and have been really hard to find simple and easy self care methods which will change my thoughts and feelings and moisturising and looking after my skin was one of them. I have been feeling so much confident since I have been moisturising my skin and my skin has looked so much better. I love this moisturiser. It is fantastic and really smooth and doesn’t leave your skin feeling sticky. It absorbs into the skin easily and smells INCREDIBLE!
  • Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Milk – If you know me, you know I love Clinique’s skincare range and haven’t really found any other products better. Clinique’s skincare is an absolute essential for me. I love using the cleansing milk to remove my makeup. It makes it so easy and quick. It doesn’t dry your skin out either. It keeps your skin nicely moisturised and is great for even sensitive skin. I personally have not experienced any issues with this product and I do have sensitive skin.
  • Jimmy Choo Perfume –  Jimmy Choo perfumes have been some of my favourites for the longest time now. I actually have a little collection of them! This was actually the first one I got by them and I first had this many years ago and have repurchased since. I love this perfume so much and I have just found throughout July everytime I have gone to put perfume on, I have reached for this one.  The fragrance is quite fruity with a sense of woody depths to it but I am so glad I have started using this again.
  • L’Oreal Baby Roll Mascara – OMG!! This could potentially be my favourite of the whole list. I am so glad I discovered this because it is insane. I normally use Chanel Inimitable Intense Volume but I’m sure you will be aware that this is really quite pricey. It is a fantastic mascara though and I love using it and wearing it I am going to always repurchase this mascara for the rest of my life I think. However, because it is on the more expensive side, I am so glad I found this one by L’Oreal. You all know I really recommend L’Oreal anyway but this mascara is so comparable and just so GOOD and is only £7.99!! It is insane! It makes my lashes so long and full and I can’t tell you how many comments I get when I wear this. It’s insane!! Definitely check this mascara out because it is INCREDIBLE and I am 100% OBSESSED with wearing this at the moment!
  • Soap and Glory facial wash 3 in 1 daily detox with Vitamin C – I always get asked about how I keep my skin so clear and well one of my secret products I use is this face wash. I use it every single day in shower. It just feels so good on my skin and really helps to clear out my pores and prevent blackheads and spot. The formula is perfect for sensitive skin as well. It gently exfoliates the skin as well as energising, brightening and purifying the skin. It really does do everything and I think it is fantastic and has made my skin feel amazing.
  • Clinique Chubby Lash Mascara – Another mascara because everyone knows I love Mascaras. I was so pleasantly surprised by this mascara. I have used Clinique skin care for a while but not really branched out and tried there makeup, although I have now and I am so impressed. I love this mascara! It gives my eyelashes an incredible amount of length and volume and they just look so pretty and natural because it separates every single lash and isn’t clumpy one bit. Love this mascara and will definitely be repurchasing.
  • Game Of Thrones – Game Of Thrones has finally returned and I am so excited to watch the whole season and see what develops. I have enjoyed the past three episodes so far and I can’t wait for next week’s episode already! I won’t discuss this too much because I don’t want to give any spoilers for anyone but if you haven’t checked this TV series out you most definitely should. I think it is amazing! *Warning not suitable for all ages though.*
  • Suits – Again another TV series I am so glad it has returned. Every week I always look forward to the next episode been released on Netflix. I am so excited to see where the series is going to go and what is going to happen and develop. Let me know in the comments if you have any theories for this or Game Of Thrones if you watch them because I would love to know! Again would completely recommend giving this a watch.
  • Denim Skirt from Next- Since Summer has arrived and if you have been keeping up-to-date with me on my Instagram and Twitter, you will know I have been travelling so, so,so much over the past month and let me just say I have loved every single second of it and I am grateful that I have got to have so many incredible experiences and I really cannot wait to visit more places and see even more of the world. While I have been travelling and even in the months before this one and when I went to Florida in April, an absolute staple that I have taken with me on all of my trips has been this denim skirt that I purchased from Next. I am in LOVE with it! It is so comfortable and super flattering because it is highwaisted and not too short in the length but short enough to get an insane tan on your legs! I don’t think I am going to lose this tan line ever haha!! I have basically just been living in this skirt and I love it, so I don’t care haha!!

Thank you so much for reading and I hope you have enjoyed! Let me know what you have been loving this month and what your favourite products or items may have been because I would love to hear all of your recommendations! Much love,

Lizzie X

Going Through The Emotions…

Hello everyone!

It appears to be the longest time since I have sat down and have written a blog post and that makes me so sad but in all honesty, I have just been so busy with life and as the title says going through all the emotions. If you read my blog quite regularly you will notice over the past couple of months I have been quite absent and haven’t been posting as frequently as what I usually do.  Truthfully, I just haven’t written much on here because I am definitely one of those people who won’t rush content and just put something up because I need to. No. I will only ever upload something if I feel 100% happy and proud of what I have done and these past couple of months I have been going through a really hard time and I just haven’t felt inspired to write or felt the need. I just wanted to keep things to myself and not put up content that I wasn’t proud of or happy with.

I know this may not appear to be the case because I have been on holiday so much these past couple of months and if you follow me on my Twitter or Instagram all you will have been seeing is my holiday photos and a rather happy me. However, that doesn’t mean I don’t have things going on behind closed doors. I post the things I do on my Instagram and Twitter because it makes me feel happy and it makes me feel better. Also, just because I only share the happy and positive moments in my life, doesn’t make me fake it just means I want to keep some privacy against some of the personal things that are going on in my life. Therefore, I don’t want to be positing about them and thus I won’t be going into detail about them on here. I just wanted to make this post as sort of an update post.

I know everyone goes through tough times and everyone is fighting their own battles that none of us are aware of so I know it is so important to always just be kind and respectful to everyone. You never know what they are going through. Life isn’t easy and even though I have taken a break from blogging I know it was the right decision and has definitely help keep some space and clear my mind and thoughts. It has been so important for me to have just switched off from everything and distance myself from everyone so I could figure out for myself what I really wanted without getting influenced by others.

Having hit the lowest point of the last couple of the months the other day, I have finally decided that it is time to move on from all this and help myself and get myself back to where I was. It isn’t always easy when you feel like the world is against you and if any of you have bad luck, like I do, when something goes wrong for me, everything goes wrong all at the same time! I know that everything happens for a reason and what will be will be.  Life challenges you to make you stronger and to give your experience and lessons which will ultimately be very important. I know that even in these difficult times I am very lucky and everything will work out okay in the end, it just takes time. Meanwhile I just need to look after myself and put myself first and love who I am and focus on doing what makes me happy and what I love. Therefore, I hope you return to blogging as usual and to just be filling my life with lots of love and laughter and to make those dark days just a little brighter.

For any of you who have been feeling like me and have been going through some difficult times I just want you to know you are not alone, everything happens for a reason and everything will be okay in the end. You just to have to believe and give the situation time and be patient with yourself and also give yourself time to recover and become stronger.

So, on a happier note, I have decided to just take control of everything and try and move forward the best I can.  It won’t be easy and it will take time but I do want to return to blogging so I hope you can just be patient with me a little longer while I get back into this and I can’t wait to be making content again. I have missed talking and chatting with you all. Also, if you have any suggestions for posts you would like to see then please them below in the comments because I am always looking for new and interesting ideas.

Much love as always,

Lizzie X

P.S. Please don’t forget to go and follow me on my Instagram and Twitter. I am active on those daily and I would love to interact with you all more and talk about more things. Recently on my Twitter I have just hit 1000 followers so thank you so much!! I do appreciate it!

Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief Review

Today I thought I would review the Clinique Moisture Surge moisturiser. Since purchasing this in Florida I have been obsessed and have been using this every single day! It quickly became an essential of mine. I cannot believe how good it is!

First thing I want to point out is the price. This moisturiser is £34 for 50ml. I know this is on the more expensive but I think it is worth all the money you pay.  I suffer with dry skin as most of you will know if you have been reading my blog for a while but this has seriously helped my skin so much.

This mosituriser is beautiful gel/cream formula which is really light on the skin. It is easy to apply and absorbs into the skin really well. It leaves your skin feeling smooth and soft as well as hydrated.  I would definitely recommend this moisturiser is if you have really dry skin or if you suffer from acne, eczema or dermatitis because my friend suffers from those and it work so well on her skin and she does have to be very careful about what products she uses. It reduces redness and does help to clear up the skin. Even though I don’t suffer from those conditions, luckily, I notice that using the product really does to help keep my skin clear from spots and does make my skin appear really healthy and glowy.

It doesn’t irritate my skin, which is great since I do have rather sensitive skin. Unlike most other moisturisers it absorbs into the skin so well and doesn’t leave the skin appearing oily or greasy which I really like.  Also, a huge plus for me is how quickly it absorbs into the skin. I hate having to wait ages for my moisturiser to absorb into my skin but I don’t have any issues with this with the product.

Upon application I definitely feel like my skin feels healthy and that I look more awake. I feel like it does a very good job of wakening my skin up and not making me feel looks as tired as I perhaps feel. I especially like applying this under my eyes because I think it does help diminish my dark circles.

I highly recommend this product. It is easily the best moisturiser I have used. No matter what the weather or what season your skin always needs some TLC and this product just adds that little extra moisture boost that your skin needs and to give you a really healthy and radiant complexion and glow.  Ever since my first use of the product I noticed what a huge difference it made to my skin and loved it, thus have continued to use it every day since.

I would definitely recommending giving this product try if you haven’t already.  It is definitely an essential for me and one that I know I am going to be loving for while. It is going to take something very special to beat this product. I understand it is quite expensive but you get what you pay for. The quality of the product is definitely there and the results are visible and for me unbeatable.

Current Beauty Faves

edit 1

Today I want to share with you some of current beaut favourites! I am so glad I have discovered all of these products because they make day-to-day life that little bit easier!

  • Herbal Essences Moisture Balance shampoo and conditioner – I have been loving this shampoo and conditioner! It is so moisturising and nourishing, leaving your hair feel incredibly soft and smooth. I have especially been enjoying this shampoo and conditioner whilst travelling because I was swimming a lot and so my hair was in chlorine a lot and also I have been using heat on my hair in the evenings so I could style my hair ready for going out to dinner and so it has been damaged a lot. Of course the sun dries your hair out as well but this shampoo and conditioner has kept my hair balanced with moisture and it has looked and felt super healthy, soft and shiny. A bonus thing for me because I am blonde is that it has camomile in it which has really helped to lighten my hair without getting highlights.
  • Soap and Glory Vitamin C face wash – This is just a lovely daily face wash to use on your skin. It isn’t too harsh and is fine on my sensitive skin and has done a great job of keeping my skin clear.  Would definitely recommend trying this product out if you haven’t already.
  • Clinique Take The Day Off cleansing milk – I know this product is quite expensive but for me it is so worth it! It is such a great cleanser and removes all of your makeup without effort and drying your skin out. It moisturizes your skin at the same time and it is a great product for sensitive skin. It isn’t harsh on the skin at all and leaves your face feeling really fresh and clean. This product is a definite must for me now!!
  • NSPA charcoal face mask – Recently I have been really enjoying using a face mask and taking a little more time out to look after myself and just generally been making a real effort at self care and looking after my skin and my body. I love using this as a face mask once a week for a deep cleanse and detox of the whole skin and to thoroughly clean in my pores but I also love using this a spot treatment too on the days where I feel like my skin is suffering or being particularly problematic. It works really well for both and I enjoy using this product and definitely notice a difference once I have used it. Again it is great for sensitive skin.
  • Veet Hair removal cream – If you are anything like me you are really lazy when it comes to shaving your legs. I just don’t enjoy it! I am lucky that hairs aren’t thick or dark on my legs and barely even grow there but for summer and holidays shaving your legs is essential for wearing your swimsuits and shorts. I am so glad I have tried this cream it makes life so easy. It really is minimal efforts and your legs feel incredible afterwards. If you are like me, definitely check this product out – it has saved my  life haha!
  • L’Oreal Miss Hippie Mega Volume Mascara – This is another product which has saved my life! It honestly makes the biggest difference to my lashes with just a single coat. I don’t even have to curl them. This mascara is INSANE!! I am sure you have heard me rave about this so much already but the volume and length is insane and it makes my lashes look so pretty. I always get so many compliments when I wear this mascara and the waterproof version was heaven whilst I was in Portugal swimming and going to the waterparks. LOVE IT!!!
  • EOS lip balm – I can’t go anywhere without a lip balm because my lips for some reason get so dry. I actually don’t know why. This is just my new favourite lip balm and has kept my lips so moisturised and prevented them from cracking even when travelling on a plane which I don’t think has ever happened before. A great product!
  • Vaseline Aloe Vera Moisturiser – Again I am so lazy with moisturizing my body which is really bad considering I know I have dry skin and after I have been on holiday, OMG my skin is incredibly dry because of the sun. Anyway I have started making more of effort with looking after my skin and began moisturising and this product is an absolute staple for me. It is incredibly moisturising. My skin is so nice and soft even though I have just been in the sun for ages and I am not peeling which is very rare for me and I am just really happy with this moisturiser. It doesn’t take too long to soak in and doesn’t leave you feeling all sticky either which I hate. Really happy I have found this and it smells incredible!!

Thank you so much for reading!! Let me know if you have tried any of these products and your opinions on them if you have. Also let me know if you have recommendations of products I should try or what your current beauty favourite is. Much love,

Life Update.. Where have I been???

Hello everyone!!

It has seriously been the longest time since I have sat down and blogged. I have just been so incredibly busy this past month and unfortunately, I haven’t got around to writing a post. I have missed uploading so much and missed just being able to chat with everyone and share what has been happening. It has felt so strange since I have started documenting you most of my life, experiences and important memories here! So, where have I been?

First, I had my University exams. The final week before my exams I just wanted to take a break from my blog and social media and full focus on my revision and exams. I just wanted to concentrate on my exams. I even booked time off work to do my exams. After my exams finished it has been so full on, which is funny really because I was now finished with my first year of Uni and didn’t have to revise. However, I was working a tonne over the next few days after finishing my exams and then my life got taken over my moving.  I had finished first year now and I needed to move out of my accommodation and go back home and it was so stressful and I had so much to pack up, especially since I was self-catered the first year. I actually didn’t realise just how much I had taken with me and how much I needed to pack up and move. Sorting out my entire room, cleaning it, taking down all my posters and photos and moving everything really did take up so much time! Also, after my exams and then working a lot of hours at work and then packing up I just felt like I wanted to take a step back and relax and actually have some time to myself so I did.

So, I moved on from Uni on the Wednesday 7th June and on the Saturday (very early in the morning), I was heading to Portugal for a week. I had so much to unpack and then I had to pack my suitcase and get travel money and sort out documents and my car ready for the journey to the airport – I really just didn’t have a minute. Also, the Thursday was the General election so I voted in that and then wanted to spend most of my time keeping up-to-date with the election because politics are important to me. After all that, Saturday came and I headed off to Portugal and I really wanted to make the most of my time in Portugal and spend quality time with my boyfriend and just enjoy living in the moment and enjoying the experiences I was having and creating amazing memories.

That’s how crazy everything has been recently. I got back from Portugal early this morning and been to work today so I am looking forward to relaxing, writing more blog posts and catching up with everything. I have so many episodes of Love Island to catch up on – let me know if you are watching it and what couples you think are a match! I am excited to just get back to a little bit of normality. I had the best time away with Portugal and I cannot wait to share my experiences with you. If you head on over to my Instagram then you can see a sneak peak of my holiday and the activities I got up to.

Thank you so much for you continued support and I hope this has explained a few things and I hope to get back to regularly posting. Again, thank you so much and I will see you soon. Much love,

Sleek Cream Contour Palette Review

Hello everyone,

Today I am going to be reviewing the Sleek cream contour palette. This was actually the first Sleek product I had ever purchased and I was super excited to try it because I had pretty positive reviews about the palette in comparison to some high-end ones which are obviously quite expensive.

So, first point that I am going to start with leading on from the point that the high-end contour kits although they are worth the price, I think especially in the case of the Anastasia Beverly Hills Pro Series Contour Kit, they are rather expensive as that one costs £39. The Sleek palette however only costs £10.99, so obviously, you can see there is a big difference in price and the Sleek one is obviously more affordable. Therefore, I think if you are looking for a cheaper alternative to the Anastasia one then this may be a good option for you. It is definitely more budget friendly.

With this palette, you have three options for skin tones – you can get light, medium and dark. I purchased the medium one.  The palette for each option comes with 6 shades with the first one being the lightest and the sixth one being the darkest.  The palette also comes with instruction on where the place the shades for the best possible results for highlighting and contouring your face which I think it so good, especially if you are new to makeup or never really contoured before and so unsure on what to do or what shade to use where – this is super helpful.

The packaging of the product is super simple and classy. It’s just plain black with sleek in the middle. When you open the palette, the shades are all on the bottom and then my favourite thing about this product is the huge mirror on the top of the palette. The inside lid of the palette is all mirror and I seriously use the mirror every single day to do my makeup. It is useful and handy and such a good size mirror. Also, this is a massive bonus when travelling. The palette is definitely of size to be used when travelling and the huge mirror will just be super helpful when travelling.

On to the actual contour shades themselves. I do like the fact that there are 6 shades in the palette which means there is more variety to pick from depending on what sort of contour you are going for. I do think the palette tends to lean towards the darker shades and I do find them to be quite orange-toned, however, I haven’t really had too much of an issue to do with this.  I do know that some people have had an issue with this and dislike the palette because of this reason which I can totally understand but I only tend to use the shade 6 and shade 1 and neither of these are orange-toned. With that being said, the fact I only can use two shades out of the palette (I can occasionally use shade 4) it does limit its use and I would prefer a palette with say three shades that I could use all of them. I think that would be definitely be better value.

I am a fan of cream textured makeup products. I do like them because I don’t have oily skin and so they sit nicely on my face and give a nice finish. Again, would probably avoid this if you do have oily skin.  To apply to my skin, I use my fingers and place the shade in the areas I wish to contour. I don’t think using a brush, from my personal experience, works well to apply the shade to the skin so I would recommend using your finger.  On the skin the product is super easy to blend. There is no need to worry about harsh lines or it being obvious that you have contoured. It blends out super well and creates a lovely, natural and subtle look. For this I tend to use a contour brush but a dampened beauty blender works just as well too. I was surprised at how well it did blend out but I am super happy with how it does. Also, the shade on super pigmented and with always when contouring a little bit goes along away especially if you just want to create a natural looking shadow which is my preference.

Overall, I would recommend this palette. I do think it is good, affordable, drug-store alternative to the high-end contour palettes. I do have a few issues with the product but I still enjoy using it and the mirror sells it for me anyway! I love the mirror in it so much! If you have this palette let me know your thoughts and opinions on it because I am interested to see what you think. Also, if you have any other recommendations for contour palettes then let me know because I do want to try other out! Thank you so much for reading and I hope you found this somewhat useful and enjoyed another review post. I will see you all soon. Much love,
