12 Things – Week 3

Hello lovelies!

Welcome back to my blog. I hope you are doing well and have had a fantastic week. What are your plans for the weekend? I am just working, which will be no surprise to any of you who have been reading this blog for a while! Today I back with another random 12 things from my week giving you all a mini life update.

  1. I went shooting blog and Instagram photos this week and I had so much fun. It was really to fun to go out and get some Autumnal photos although I did get rather embarrassed when some men kept shouting and making remarks haha, but nevertheless, it was a good time and I got some really cute photos which hopefully you will be seeing soon on both my blog and Instagram.
  2. This week my boyfriend and I celebrated our three-year anniversary. We went out for a meal in Leicester at an Italian called San Carlo and it was such a beautiful and wonderful evening. The restaurant was too warm, but nevertheless the food was amazing. I had such a great night, celebrating with my favourite person and it was nice looking at our photos and chatting about the past three years. I have already written a blog post about this evening so If you haven’t checked that out then you can do so here.
  3. I got back into the gym this week after missing the week before and it felt so good. It was so nice to be back in the gym. I am actually one of those people who, surprisingly, really enjoys the gym and I just find it helps me mentally so much. It really does relief so much stress for me and puts me in a better mood.
  4. Speaking of the gym, I actually did my furthest run to date on the treadmill this week and it was such a proud achievement. I was so happy with myself and I can definitely see progress being made which makes me extremely happy. I cannot wait to make even more progress.
  5. Next week is reading week and I am so glad to have a week off uni. Things have just been so intense this week, so I am glad to have a week to myself to read and prepare for my assignments because the deadlines are so close. I honestly feel like there is just so much work this year, so it will nice in reading week to get on top of things and get some readings done in advance.
  6. My family have all been on holiday this week (since it has been half-term) in Wales and I was the only one who couldn’t go. I know I have moved out to Uni but it felt so strange having them so far away from me but they seemed to have a really good time so that is nice, and I am happy for them. I have definitely been inundated with holiday photos haha!
  7. To be honest with you, this week I really just haven’t felt myself at all. I have felt quite down and sad and just not felt like doing much in general which has been really sad. Other than celebrating my anniversary which I was so excited and happy for I just felt really low and sad about things. I don’t know whether that is stress or lack of sleep, but I definitely have not been myself and I don’t know why.
  8. I have really got into reading again over the past couple of weeks. Yes, I know I have to read all the time for university, for the lectures and seminars but I mean I have gotten back into reading for enjoyment. I have MISSED this SO much – I cannot even tell you! I love reading and it has been so nice to read something before bed to help relax me and settle me down.
  9. After about a month of watching Mad Men I have finished it! I have watched this series so quickly and I got into really fast which I really didn’t think I would. My boyfriend had been telling me for months to watch it and that I would really enjoy it, but I was insistent that he was wrong. Turns out he wasn’t wrong at all! Now I have finished it though, I don’t know what to watch next, so leave me some suggestions in the comments down below if you have any please!
  10. About a week ago, I put a poll on my Twitter asking if you would all like me to blogmas and the poll results came back with 100% of the votes being yes. Thus, this week I have started to plan my blogmas posts, so that I am organised with everything and know what I need to get and what photos I need to shoot. I haven’t done blogmas before, so I am super excited and nervous at the same time. Hopefully you will enjoy blogmas!
  11. For my anniversary, I actually bought a new top from New Look which I will try and link if I can find it on the website and OMG I am obsessed with it! I think it is the cutest thing ever and something completely out of my comfort zone. I would never have normally picked an item like this, but I am so glad that I have because I absolutely love it and I can see me wearing a tonne of the Autumn/Winter seasons for parties etc.
  12. I have been looking at booking a holiday to Berlin this week and I really cannot decide whether to just be spontaneous and book a trip there. I really want to go to Berlin and it was my travel list for this year. Plus, I think it will be so cool to in January when it’s cold. I just want to go and experience Berlin so much. Decisions… decisions.

Thank you so much for reading and I hope that you have enjoyed reading my third weekly update. I really enjoy looking these and it will be so nice to eventually look back on them and remember what I did each week. Leave me a comment letting me know what your favourite part of your week was, and I will see you all very soon! Much love,

Lizzie X

It’s always so difficult to take photos outside without getting weird looks from other people, isn’t it?! Also hope you start feeling better soon Xx

Happy Anniversary! It sounds like you had a great time. I really need to get out and take some pictures for my blog and Instagram before all the leaves fall off the trees here. Hopefully I’ll get a chance to do it soon.

A spontaneous trip to Berlin sounds amazing!! I’ve just got back from 24h in Dublin and had the best time! It’s hard to balance wanting to travel and uni work but I definitely think it’s worth it if you’ve got the time! I will be writing a post about my trip to Dublin soon if you’re interested xx
