Today I am super excited to share my GRWM with a formal occasion. For this I actually had my History and English Summer Ball and I had the BEST time. It was so much fun and I really enjoyed myself so much. I cannot wait to share with you my GWRM and then also some photos from the night. It really was a fantastic time and I am so glad that I went.
First thing I did in the morning was apply a face mask. I just wanted my skin to feel extra moisturised and clean and the best it could.
Later in the afternoon the first thing I did was moisturise my skin with the Clinique Moisture surge extended thirst relief gel cream. This stuff is insane! It is an expensive product but so worth the money!!
For foundation I used the Elizabeth Arden Flawless Finish Bare Perfection in the shade Buff 26 and just used a brush to apply this all over my face.
Next was concealer. For any blemishes I had I used the Collection Lasting perfection in the shade 2 Cool medium and to highlight under my eyes I also used the Collection Lasting Perfection in the shade 1 Fair. I blended both these out with my beauty blender.
To set all of that makeup I just used my Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in 001 Transparent. I used a huge powder brush to just brush this all over my face but concentrating on my T-zone and also my eyelids to set the concealer for my eyeshadow and also under my eyes so my concealer wouldn’t later crease in the night.
For eyes I went for a pink look, so I used my Urban Decay Naked 3 palette. First I took the shade Limit, which I guess is a light nude/brown shade and placed that all the way through my crease. I then took Nooner which is a darker version of Limit and placed that on the outer V on my eye to create some depth and dimension. I also dragged this slightly underneath my eyes. For the lid I used the shade Buzz, a lovely shimmery pink shade and for the inner corner I used High, which is a lovely white/pale pink toned highlighting shade (it’s so beautiful) from the Urban Decay Naked Smokey palette. I then took a fluffy blending brush and blended to ensure there was no harsh lines.
For eyeliner I used my L’Oreal Superliner Superstar in Black and just did a tiny line close to my lashes and then a wing on the end.
To curl my eyelashes I used my ELF eyelash curler and this just ensured my eyelashes were lifted and opened my eyes up even more.
Next I applied a coat of mascara. For this, I used the L’Oreal Miss Hippie Mega Volume mascara.OMG!! I am in LOVE with this product. It is so good! It is so inexpensive too. I believe it is only £7.99 from Boots and it makes the biggest difference to eyelashes. Definitely my new favourite mascara.
Then I applied some False eyelashes. This was actually my first time using false eyelashes and I was impressed. As it was my first time, I just used the Boots own brand eyelashes but they were great. They were so easy to apply, I had no issues whatsoever and they looked pretty. I will leave a link here for them so you can check them out because I actually forgot to take a photo of them before I used them haha! I am definitely a fan of false eyelashes now for sure!!
For my eyebrows I combed from the with a spooly before filling them in with powder. I used the shade Whisky from the Urban Decay Naked Smokey Palette and then used my Benefit Brow gel to set them in place.
To finish my face makeup I used the Sleek cream contour palette in the shade light/medium and took shade 6 (the darkest) and used this to sharpen my jaw line and define my cheekbones.
Next I went in with highlighter. I used the ELF highlighter in the shade Half-baked which gives you a lovely summery/bronzed highlight. I just popped this on the tops of my cheekbones. By the way the pigment in these is crazy. They are really good. I really like them.
For blush I used the Clinique 07 sunset glow and again this was such a pretty colour. It works really well with the ELF highlighter too. They complement each other so well.
To bronze my skin I used the Collection Matte Bronze glow in the shade 1 Terracotta and just applied this to my forehead and any other places that would naturally catch the sun.
Finally, for lips I used the Essence lipliner in 06 satin mauve and then applied my Collection Velvet Kiss moisturising lip cream which is matte in the shade 2 Caramel. That was my makeup all done! I never usually wear that much makeup but it was a special occasion
For my hair I just simply straightened my hair with my GHDs. I love these. They really do keep my hair super straight which is a huge task.
My dress was from H&M, my heels were from Faith and my clutch bag was Nine West. I then popped in some earrings and a spritz of Marc Jacobs Daisy perfume and I was good to go!
Now for some photos from the evening! I really hope you enjoy!
Thank you so much for reading and I hope you have enjoyed this post. I was so excited for the post! It has definitely been one of my favourite to write and post! Let me know you thoughts and opinions in the comments below with any post requests and I will see you all very soon. Much love,
P.S.I have been posting tonne on my Twitter and Instagram recently and would really appreciate you checking them out please!
It’s been awhile since I lasted posted but I have been super busy and going through so many changes haha. The reason I haven’t been posting is because I have just moved out to uni and so I have been busy adjusting to my new life and socialising as well as figuring out everything which is new. So I am sorry I haven’t been active but I will definitely try and get into a routine of posting and get back to normal blogging!
Let me know if you would like a university series including a haul of everything I took, moving in day, freshers, room tour, feelings/experiences what to expect so I know what to write about next and I hope see you all very soon!
I know this post is really late as we are almost halfway through September now. I know right… where has the time gone? Things seem to be going to quick and I am sorry I have only just got around to do this post but I have been really super busy with holidays and university things and other blog posts that this one kind of got pushed behind. However, today I am going to share with you the things I have been loving throughout the month of August.
Black and White Striped Top – This has been an absolute favourite item of mine, it may even be my favourite thing in my wardrobe. I have worn it so much since I have brought it’s unreal. I seriously love itso much. It’s really cute and soft. It’s from H&M and was only £7.99, so was really inexpensive but the material feels great and I love how you wear it casually or dress it up depending on the occasion. The black and white stripe pattern is really pretty and the criss cross detailing in the middle is really flattering and you can wear it as revealing as you feel comfortable doing so. LOVE this top so much!
Lee Stafford Heat Protectant – Again I seriously love this stuff. I love Lee Stafford anyway and think his products are amazing but they are definitely at the higher price end range compared to some brands. However, you get the quality you pay for and I think it so worth it. This spray really has helped my hair be protected from heat damage and has kept it looking soft and shiny which is what everyone wants lets be honest here! Really have no complaints about this product – it smells amazing too!
W7 concealer – You have probably heard me rave about these before because for the price you pay they are amazing concealers. Perfect for everyday wear for back to school, work or anytime. They blend in super easy and provide a good amount of coverage to the skin. If you’re on a budget definitely have a look at these or W7 as a brand anyway because they do some good dupes for higher end products which are a lot more affordable.
Black and White Striped Top #2 -If you cannot tell I have been obsessed with black and white stripes. This top cost me £2 from Primark and since I purchased it I have worn it so many times. I love the higher neck because I personally think they suit me quite well and again the material is really nice still and it fits really well. I have just been pairing this tucked into a pair of black high waisted skinny jeans and it has worked really well. Super simple and easy to wear but looks good and for the price you definitely cannot complain.
Mason Jar cup – Since the weather has surprisingly been quite warm this summer I have loved using the cup to have some water in to keep me hydrated. It’s looks really cute and has a bronze colour lid and comes with a black and white striped straw (the theme continues even more haha) and only cost me 69 pence! I know – such a bargain! Just really have enjoyed having my drinks from this cup.
Thank you so very much for reading I hope you have enjoyed hearing my top 5 August favourites. Let me know what were your favourites down in the comments and I will see you all very shortly. Byeee!
Ahhhhhhhhhh! Everyone I am so excited and happy right now! I know I have already posted today but I seriously just need to post about this. I have just hit 1000 followers on my blog!
I know… That’s so super crazy! I really cannot believe it. I never thought I would ever get to this point, especially in just over two months of properly blogging.
I cannot say thank you enough but thank you so very much everyone. I appreciate all the views, comments and likes and I am so grateful for you reading my content and following me on my blogging journey.

Just wanted to let you know a new video has gone live on my channel. This week’s video is a travel diary of my visit to London. I had so much fun creating and editing this together and also being in London. In fact I am so incredibly sad now that I am back and miss it so much… I definitely have the London blues haha. Anyway I would be appreciative if you could check my video out and thumbs up if you like it or even subscribe if you aren’t already and yeah I just really hope you enjoy watching it as much as enjoyed creating it.Also if you have any video requests then leave them in the comments and I will try my best to film them for you!
Thank you so very much for everything and all your support. I truly am grateful and can’t wait to hear what you think about the video. See you really soon! Lots of love,
I hope you are doing great and having a lovely week so far! I like to think of my blog as a place on the internet where I can freely express myself and my feelings/thoughts and opinions or anything that is possibly troubling. I always feel better once I have spoken about my problems but I find it incredibly difficult opening up to people, especially talking to me people face-to-face. I find it so much easier to convey my emotions when writing or even drawing. I find it so much easier to express myself and what I mean. I mean when I am speaking to someone I usually spend half the time correcting what I have just said because what I have just said didn’t really say what I felt at all. Am I the only one who does this? Anyway, I just wanted to take this time to write about my feelings and where I currently am.
Summer is coming to a close now and it really has been amazing and probably my best summer so far. It is definitely one I shall never forget. I think this is the first year in ages I have been at home for summer and not gone on vacation to Florida so I definitely wanted to make the most of it with my friends before we all go our separate ways to university. I really feel like we have and I had a great time with everyone and all the parties and going out and although it is not over quite yet for me and I have a couple of weeks left (which I ams for sure going to make count) my mind has now become consumed with worries over university. I really cannot believe how soon it is until I move away and leave the comfort of my home and the surroundings that have been so familiar for the past 18 years of my life. I have never known anything else other than where I have lived and it’s scary to think that in two weeks I leave for somewhere completely new.
I am really stressed about moving away to uni. For me it’s the same for the majority of people when they move away. I don’t have the support and help from people I most need it from and although now after 9 long months I am coming to terms with that I just find it so hard when I know everybody else’s parents are excited and happy for their child to be going off to further education. Mine couldn’t be further from that! But I am not going to dwell on this and go into detail , it just often gets to me and I wish I had someone who proud of me and happy for me, however, I guess the fact that I made it to uni and that I am doing want I want to do is good enough and so I should be happy with me. I think maybe me being proud of myself is the best thing anyway.
In terms of buying stuff for my room, I have barely started. I have like a few towels and rug. That’s not going to particularly get me far haha! Although I am going shopping tomorrow for some more things and I know what I need to get it’s just stressful having to buy it all yourself and sort it all out. Most people I know have already got all their things and have packed their room up ready to move and yet I haven’t even thought about that! I am sure I am just stressing for no reason and everything will work out fine and I have no doubts I will feel better when I have more stuff ready and have started packing. I have even thought about how I am going to move all my stuff to uni.Of course my family aren’t helping me so I am going solo and I do drive so I was going to take the car but then I don’t think my parents will let me and plus I don’t fancy the motorway but I have no clue otherwise how I am meant to move everything! Just another thing to add to my list of worries ay!
I know I am just stressing by the forthcoming changes because they are really soon and massive and in two weeks time I will be fine and happily settled but for now I am just crazy stressed. Stressed about moving, fitting in and making friends, liking my course and picking my modules which I haven’t chosen yet either and making a really positive, successful start to university life. I know this all seems stupid to worry over and I am sure everything will turn out but it just dwindles away in the back of my mind all the time.
I will definitely keep you updated on everything and moving away. There will be plenty of hauls of things I purchase for my room and also I was thinking of doing a tour of my room and a moving vlog. Let me know if you would like see any of those.
Thank you so much for listening to the rambling of my mind. I feel better already now I have spoken about it and like I say I am sure in two weeks I will wonder what the heck I was worried about but I am sure those of you who have moved to university will probably understand the feeling. I can’t wait in some aspects to move away and start a fresh and be really independent. I am really excited at the same time but currently I just think my nerves are over taking the excitement.
Thank you so very much for all your support, likes and comments. I appreciate them and it’s nice to know I have a little place where I can freely express my feelings and receive such supportive comments and feedback. I am very appreciative and I shall see you all very soon! BYE!
How are you all doing? I hope you are all having a lovely day/evening. I firstly want to apologise for not getting a blog post up on Friday. I was so busy with work and I didn’t feel well either that I felt exhausted and drained. I know I said I wasn’t going to blog over the weekend but since I missed Friday I thought I would get one up now. Today I have the last blog post for my series about my travels to London.
The last day was really sad and I gutted to be going home. I loved every minute of being in London and sightseeing and we were both sad to be going home. I really wished me had gone away for much longer but I enjoyed the time we did spend together. The last day was mostly spent travelling and packing. We spent the whole morning (although for the first time all week we did get a lie in) tidying and packing our things up and then checking out of our hotel. After that we headed to bag storage to store our bags whilst we went to Buckingham Palace for the tour of the state rooms.
Again, for obvious reasons we couldn’t photograph any of Buckingham palace or what we saw on on tour but I would definitely recommend going to this if you ever chance. I did really enjoy it and the audio guides are full of so much information you find out so much about the history. It was really nice and you I did enjoy walking around the state rooms and the exhibitions. After our tour had finished, we grabbed some lunch and then got our cases.
At this point we had a couple of hours until our coach arrived to take us back home. So we decided to go and relax in Hyde Park and just chat and relax in the sun enjoying our last few moments in London. I was really sad to be going home but I had a lovely time and a lovely time. I was very exhausted by the time we got on the coach!
Thank you so much for reading and I hope you have enjoyed this mini series. Now this have done please leave some requests for what blog posts you would like to see next and I will definitely do them! I’ll see you tomorrow!
