Weekly Review: L’Oreal Miss Baby Roll Mascara

Hello lovelies!

Today I am back with another review post because I, personally, really enjoy writing them and I find these kinds of posts helpful and useful when I am thinking about purchasing a new product.  I have also recently decided to make this a series and to write a review every week, so let me know if you think that is a good idea or if you have any products (makeup, fashion, hair, entertainment etc.) that you would like to see a review on and I will do my best to get those up for you.

Anyway, today I am going to be reviewing the L’Oréal Miss Baby Roll Mascara. As you all know, I am a huge fan of L’Oréal and their makeup and skincare product. For a drugstore brand, I think their products, in general, are amazing. They are such excellent quality and really reasonably priced. This mascara is no different. It is just as good and in fact probably my favourite mascara by them now!

Firstly, a price point for this mascara is £7.99, which is obviously such a great price especially when compared to the higher end mascaras which are usually £20 upwards.  It definitely is very affordable which I think is fantastic, especially for everyday wear.

Secondly, I actually really like the packaging of the mascara. I think it is beautiful. Very girly and gives off that cute and unique vibe which I really like. It feels like good quality and is simple but effective and honestly have no complaints about it. I know some people have criticised the packaging, claiming that it looks young and for children, however, I really don’t think that matters and I like the different twist they have taken on things and don’t think that will be an issue marketing wise because the product is so good!

To be honest with you all, I have definitely gone through my fair share of mascaras over the years trying to find the perfect one. I have definitely have had some bad results but I have also found some that I really love, unfortunately for me they tended to be high end. My three favourites before discovering this mascara were Benefit’s They’re Real and Rollerlash and then Chanel Inimitable Intense volume, all of which are super expensive but incredible products. I actually have found this Miss Baby Rolle mascara to be so comparable to all those three I have just mentioned and so I was so happy – I cannot tell you!!

This mascara adds a tonne of volume and length to your lashes as well holding a curl. In all honesty, I don’t even bother with an eye lash curler when using this mascara because I don’t need one. I naturally have long eyelashes but they aren’t the darkest or thickest for this mascara actually make the most different to my eyelashes it is insane. It really does define, lengthen and volumize all of your lashes without creating clumps.

I really like the wand of the mascara as well. It is quite a big wand but it still manages to grab hold of every tiny lash you have, but it also applies a really good coat of mascara on the first application so you don’t feel the need to keep applying and thus creating the risk of them becoming really clumpy.  The formula is really black and definitely not a wishy-washy black colour like some inexpensive mascaras can be. I have also found it to be really long lasting throughout the day and the waterproof one is definitely waterproof. I used that when I was on vacation in Portugal and had no issues in the swimming pool, waterpark or whilst showering. It stayed on really well and looked amazing still. Also, I have had no issues with this mascara flaking throughout the day or transferring onto my lids.

I honestly don’t have a bad thing to day about this mascara. I think it is absolutely insane and just so good! I love this so much and it has been my go to mascara since June! I love everything about it and have gotten along with it so well. It is definitely worth the money and I would recommend it to anyone – definitely!!!!

My New Favourite Summer Outfit

Today I wanted to share with you my favourite go-to outfit at the moment. I have been completely obsessed with this style and have been finding a reason to wear it so much recently! For the longest time, I have always been a jeans kind of girl and would always just throw on jeans with a cute top and that would be my outfit like 99% of the time – no word of a lie! However, I started feeling uncomfortable and wasn’t loving that style anymore and really wanted to branch out more and buy and wear more clothes which suited my figure better. If you have been reading my blog for sometime you will know I have struggled with body confidence and my figure the majority of my life but now I am starting to find peace with who I am and have been working so hard on becoming a better person and loving myself for everything I am, flaws included.

Anyway, my mum actually bought me a denim skirt from Next for my birthday back in April, which you will have seen me wear all over my instagram if you follow that, and I was obsessed and had refound my love for skirts. Since then, I have purchased some more skirts and have been wearing them almost every single day and to be honest it actually feels kind of strange now when I wear jeans. I have been completely converted!

The skirt I am wearing is a black, distressed one from Missguided which I am completely in love with! OMG!! It’s an A-line skirt and sits high-waisted which flatters my hourglass figure beautifully. It’s a mini skirt but definitely isn’t too short and looks so flattering on. I loved the distressed detailing to the skirt, I really think it adds a little extra to the outfit and honestly it is the comfiest denim skirt ever. I am just obsessed and it is only £20! They have it three available colours I believe so I will be ordering the other ones very shortly haha! Just a side note, with all my skirts I always have to wear a belt because my waist is about two sizes smaller than hips haha!!

The shirt I have used to pair with this skirt is from Tommy Hilfiger which I know is expensive but I have seen so many equally cute alternatives in the high street stores. This is just their standard slim fit shirt and what I have done is tied the front in a bow to turn it into a crop top because that flatters my figure the best when wearing high-waisted bottoms but that is totally optionally but really on trend on the moment. I also rolled my sleeves up for comfort and because I have short arms!

I then just paired this outfit really causally with Adidas Superstar trainers. If you know me, you know these are my absolute favourite trainers and I wear them pretty much every day! They are so comfortable and just go so well with almost every outfit. Actually, a big thank you to my boyfriend for washing them and getting them so clean after I managed to ruin them on a hike. Thank god they turned out okay I would have been so lost without them haha!

Accessories wise I don’t really wear a lot of jewelry on a day-to-day basis just a watch which is the Rose Gold Darci watch by Michael Kors which I absolutely love!

Rimmel Lasting Finish Foundation 25hr wear Review

Hello everyone!

Welcome back to my blog and today I am back with another beauty post. It feels like the longest time since I sat down and have done a blog post around beauty and makeup and reviewing a product, yet strangely enough, they are one of my favourites to write. You see, sometimes I am not all that adventurous when it comes to buying new products because I fear wasting my money and just tend to repurchase the same products which I know work well with my skin and ones which I absolutely love. Am I the only one like this? Consequently, that means that I don’t tend to buy new products all that often and therefore don’t write may reviews because I feel like they would be boring because I would just be reviewing a bunch of products which I know well and love and so they will appear all the same. However, I realise now that probably doesn’t matter to most people because not everyone will have tried the product I am talking about and thus might find it somewhat useful to have an informative review of a product before purchasing, because I for one, certainly appreciate that.  Therefore, to end this extremely long introduction full of ramble, I have decided I am going to review products more often.

Strangely enough, today, the product I am reviewing is new. I purchased this foundation around two weeks ago now and wanted to properly give it a chance before writing this review.  In all honesty, I don’t tend to wear foundation at all, as many of you will know if you have been reading my blog for the past year. I am not a huge fan of the way foundation feels and sits on my skin and prefer to go for something a little less heavy on the skin like a tinted moisturiser. Also, when I do wear foundation is does tend to be a high end one because it is normally just worn for special occasions, however, I have tried a Rimmel Foundation before. I used to wear the Rimmel True Match foundation and got on with that so well. It was great for my skin and provided good coverage and was a great alternative for not having to wear and use my expensive foundations if I felt some days I needed a little more coverage in the day because I was having bad skin day or week. Don’t lie, we all have them!

Anyway, I ran out of that foundation and so when I was in Boots the other week, I was really tempted to stick to my ways and purchase that foundation again. However, for some reason I felt a little crazy and picked up a different one for a try. I stuck with Rimmel purely because I had used a foundation by them before and loved it and because the L’Oréal one I did want to try didn’t have my shade available in store.  I had also heard and read good reviews about this products from numerous beauty gurus and articles and thought why not – let’s give it a try!

First thing, a price point for this product is £.7.99 so it is super affordable and a great drugstore price. I know makeup can be expensive but in my opinion, this is really affordable.

My first impressions were that I liked the packaging and I thought the glass bottle was nice and seemed sturdier for travelling over the plastic bottles you can get which unfortunately tend to leak more than the glass ones and I don’t really know why.  I liked the fact it comes with a pump because I think that it makes application a lot easier and quicker. Overall, I think the finish and packaging is great. Very simple and classic but does the correct job.

In terms of the actual foundation, it is a full coverage foundation so as you would expect it is quite thick but is still very creamy and smooth. For reference, I tend to use one full pump because I don’t like a tonne of makeup on my face for everyday wear but obviously if I am having a bad week and my skin is being problematic like it has been these past two weeks then I am going to want to wear a foundation for coverage. (Thank you for your suggestions on skincare products for problematic skin over my Twitter – they were so helpful!!) Anyway, so far, I have been really impressed by this foundation.

The foundation itself is high coverage like it says and does eliminate redness, blemishes and spots.  It blends out super well and gives a really nice even coverage to skin. I tend to blend out with a brush initially and then go over with my beauty blender to make sure it is completely even and not cakey anywhere. When I saw how thick the foundation was I was worried that it was going to be really cakey and drying and sit into my pores, however, it is nice and nourishing on skin and my skin still feels super soft and moisturised – not dry at all. I am also pleasantly surprised by the fact that it doesn’t fall into your pores and open them out but does just apply evenly to your face and minimise your pores. A big plus for me is that I haven’t found the foundation particularly cakey either which I really like because I was worried that it was going to feel really heavy on my skin.

I have worn this foundation without primer and setting sprays and it has lasted all the way to the evening even when I have applied my makeup early in the morning. It still looks great at the end of the day. It does look slightly worse in my t-zone, but not so bad that I couldn’t still wear the makeup and look extremely patchy. In terms of it lasting for 25 hours, I don’t know on that one! I haven’t tested that out! It stayed perfectly fine thought when I have been out at parties and dancing all night and has also lasted through hot summer days on hikes when I have been sweating a bit – TMI??? I don’t know – maybe – sorry!!! I Haven’t felt the need to reapply powder throughout the day and I genuinely have felt comfortable with this foundation on my skin.

Overall, I am super impressed with this foundation and I have really enjoyed wearing it and have got along with it really well. Personally, I would recommend this foundation to people who are looking for a more budget-friendly, full coverage, long lasting foundation because it does all of those things. So far, I have tried 2 Rimmel foundations and I have been thoroughly impressed with both so I would 100% recommend giving this a try if you are in search of a new foundation. 5 Simple Steps To Live A Happier Life

Hello everyone!

Today I am going to share with you some things that I have been investing my time in recently which have really helped me become a much better version of myself and someone is much more confident and happier. Recently I have been spending a tonne of time researching self-love and self-care and finding out a few simple things I could do on a daily basis to improve my health, happiness and overall lifestyle.

  1. Appreciate the little things – I feel like this is such an important part of living a happy life. I know it is so important to be thankful and grateful for everything that I have, for all the memories and experiences that I hold and for the life I have been given – That is so special itself.  I know it is easy to get caught up with wanting all the fancy and bigger things in life but as you grow up, you will learn it’s the simple and little things that make you the happiest and that you are the most appreciative of. It’s those little moments which will make the darker times a little brighter and make you laugh a little louder or smile a little brighter.  Sometimes I think it is easier for us all to forget how lucky we are, it’s human nature, but practising gratitude and learning to love what you have instead of what you want, really will bring happiness and a much more positive outlook to your life.

 

  1. Invest in yourself – This is the most important thing you could ever do and is something I have spent the last month to six weeks doing more of. The best person you can ever invest your time and love in is yourself. If you don’t love yourself who will? Spending time everyday taking care of your body, skin and health is so essential to living a happier life. The more you look after your body, the better you feel. The more you look after your skin, the better it will look and the more confident you will feel. Again, it is just simple things which really help when it comes to loving yourself and taking care of yourself. Ensuring you get enough sleep, and that you look after your body, exercise and eat a balanced diet make the biggest difference to not only your health but your overall lifestyle. I cannot emphasise how much of a difference this makes both emotionally and physically.  Self-love costs nothing but you gain everything!

 

  1. Invest in your inner circle – Again, this is so important! Investing your time and effort into those who truly love and care for you are the only people you should be spending time with and on. It is impossible to live a happy and positive life if you surround yourself around negative people with negative thoughts and feelings and people who do not support you. It is so incredibly hard to lose people out of your life when you thought they were meant to be your friends forever but someone people are just meant to come into your life for a reason and only temporarily. Not everyone in permanent. Remember, sadly not everyone has the same heart that you do and not everyone is worth your time and effort. So, invest in your family and your friends who support you and love you no matter what. Invest in those people who have seen you at your worst but love you anyway. Invest in those who encourage you and inspire you to be a better version of yourself. It’s okay to lose friends and grow apart and separate. It’s natural and although in the beginning it is hard, in the end you will be happier and be so loved and you will also know that you have the most amazing support network behind you.

 

  1. Practice forgiveness – This is so essential if you want to live a happy life. If you hold grudges and keep re-reading the same chapters in your life and cannot let go of the past you will never move forward and will never move onto better things.  It is not only important to forgive other but it is so essential to forgive yourself as well. We all make mistakes, that’s human nature but you must forgive yourself and carry the lesson and life experience with you for the rest of your journey. We are growing and changing and we will all make mistakes and the best way to move forward is to accept that and accept that people will mess up and they will hurt you and they will upset you or things will go wrong. That’s a part of life. None of us are perfect. We are beautifully imperfect and we all think and feel differently to each other and it is so important to remember that and remember to forgive people for their mistakes.  That doesn’t mean you must forget or you must be friends with them or continue your life with them and give people multiple chances, no of course not. It simple means you can’t hold grudges and live in the past in you want to be happy. Learning to let go and accept what has happened or what you cannot change really will lift a weight off your shoulders and will allow you to move on and be happy.

 

  1. Stop expecting the worst – Life is inevitably going to be difficult and there are going to numerous challenges thrown your way but your attitude and outlook throughout those difficult times really define you. Setbacks, failures and tragedy are all a natural part of life, but when you expect the best from people and the certain situations we are place in you start to build a much more positive outlook. You build a promising and inspiring future for yourself instead of a bleak and miserable one. You build one which will make you happy and encourage you to be the best version of yourself. You will create a far more compassionate and understanding environment for yourself and you will be able to focus and bring more to the situations than if you were pessimistic.

Why you should always dress your best…

Hello everyone!!

Today I am going to be doing a slightly different post and talking about clothes and why it is important to dress your best. I know I haven’t done a fashion style post in the longest time, so I thought it was about time that I did one again and dressing well and presenting yourself the best way possible has actually been a topic that I have researched a lot recently and spoken to people about, after having a quite recent realisation myself and a very important subsequent lesson.

The first reason as to why you should dress your best is because of human nature and social conditioning we are all guilty are passing judgements on people based on what they are wearing. I don’t mean we judge people for what style of clothes they wear because I think diversity, variety and uniqueness is amazing and it would be so boring if we all dressed the same and wore the same style. I mean we subconsciously pass judgement on someone based on how well they appear to have taken care of themselves and thus already have this assumption of what a person is like. For example if someone is wearing clean clothes without stains and has washed, wearing deodorant they are presented much better than someone who isn’t wearing clean clothes and hasn’t washed and thus we would naturally trust and notice the person better presented. Basically, the better you present yourself and take care of your skin, body and personal hygiene creates a better impression and message for those around you. It also shows that you put effort into how you look and take care and pride in how you look and want others to perceive you.

Secondly, dressing your best everyday will honestly change your mood so much and will make you feel so much confident.  This is something I have learnt over the past couple of weeks. When you are struggling and having a difficult time, you don’t feel like getting up, spending time getting ready doing your hair and makeup. You just want to stay in your pyjamas and lie in bed but you really shouldn’t. It is so hard and I struggled with this recently so I do know how people feel but altering your mindset and telling yourself in the morning that you are going to get up and you are going to your makeup and you are going to put on your favourite outfit is honestly such a game changer.  It will change your entire mood and your day. If you get up and dress in your favourite clothes and do your makeup you won’t want to lie in bed and be miserable all day. You will feel so much more confident and want to go out and be productive. How you dress yourself and present yourself really does change your entire mood, mindset and confidence and it is important to get up, dress up and show up even when you feel a bit low.  You will feel so much better for it.  Just a little side note, that’s not to say that if you are spending the day inside and want to have something comfy on then wearing some jogging bottoms and comfy top but change out of your pyjamas, do your hair, do your skincare routine and put on some comfy clothes that fit well and make you feel confident.

Dressing your best is one of the best ways for you to express yourself and make yourself feel great. As I mentioned earlier, everyone is unique and has their own style and dressing in what you like and makes you confident is such a great way to express your personality and style. Dressing how you like and in what makes you feel confident and comfortable will change how people see you and will be a reflection of how you want people to perceive you and making the right impressions is very important as we all know.

If you are a creative person then getting up every morning and designing an outfit that you love and gives off the right impression will boost your creativity. If you want to dress your best and showcase a style that is really you, you will put time and effort into creating the perfect outfits everyday and will use your creative influences to do so.

I definitely use to be one of those people who would save their favourite items of clothing or outfits for special occasions and wouldn’t wear them otherwise. Now I don’t because I want to feel great and special everyday, not just a few times a year.  If you love your clothes and your wardrobe and you want to wear them and feel happy and excited to wear them, then wear them. You don’t have to have a reason to dress up and wear your special items. Everyday should be a special day and everyday you should feel excited to get dressed and wear an outfit that makes you feel happy.

Lastly you should always dress your best because it is fun!!!

The Power of Self-care

Hello everyone!

Today I really want to speak about the importance and power self-care. The past couple of months for me, have been rather difficult and stressful, which have consisted of many changes. I have found myself changing a lot in these past couple months but I will save that for a separate blog post, however, I have really realised over these past couple of months the importance of taking care of yourself and your own health and how sometimes you have to be a little selfish and do what is best for you.  For me, I found this really challenging because I am one of those people who likes to put everyone else first and I like to make everyone happy so this has been a challenge for me. At first I did feel guilty and bad but now I feel so much better within myself and happier as a person. It was hard to take the steps but now I feel like I am in control and really taking care of myself.

When I talk about self-care, I am referring to those everyday actions that we make on a daily basis to look after our bodies and minds.  I know when you are going through a challenging time and feeling like the whole world is against you that is so hard to keep going and keep doing the things which may only seem like small things so you think skipping them won’t make a difference, but in reality they do. When I was at my lowest over these past couple of months I really didn’t feel like doing a lot at all and really didn’t feel like I wanted to make an effort but I soon realised that wasn’t helping and was in fact making me feel so much worse about myself.

Even though you may not feel like it, always make an effort with yourself and what you wear etc because it actually makes a huge difference. I really noticed on the days where I didn’t do my makeup or wear the clothes I liked that I felt so less confident and motivated. It made me feel worse about myself. One important thing I have learnt is that no matter how bad you are feeling, always get up, dress up and show up. It honestly does make the world of difference. When I had done my makeup and got dresses into clothes I loved and felt comfortable in felt 10 times more confident and therefore a lot happier within myself.  How you chose to dress and present yourself really does say more about you than you realise and trust me dressing up and putting that bit of makeup on will make you feel better. Don’t get me wrong, I am definitely one for lazy and chilled days and no makeup days and just relaxing in some comfy shorts and a top but for me I really want to start making an effort more often because it does help.

Over the past couple of months I have been doing a tonne of research into self-care and into simple changes which can help keep your brain and mind healthier and make you happier and so I am going to share with you a few other tips other than just making an effort everyday which I have really found have really started to change my life.

  • The first thing I have started to do is writing in a journal/diary.  If you know me, you know that I find sleeping for the most part incredibly difficult and I am a very light sleeper so I do struggle with sleeping. I will quite often end up waking myself up and thus I don’t ever really get a good quality night’s sleep even if I do sleep for the correct amount of time. I have really found that writing in a journal has really helped me this. It has allowed me to write down all my worries, concerns, feelings, thoughts,memories, tasks, reminders, goals etc. I have found this so helpful and this has really helped me to destress and relax at night because I have everything in my journal I know I am not going to forget anything. Also, I just find the process of writing therapeutic anyway and so this has really helped me.
  • The second thing I have been doing is reading. I am an avid reader anyway so finding time to read more was just so exciting for me. I love reading and escaping reality for a while and joining another world. It makes everything so simple and peaceful and I have really enjoyed this.  Reading has really helped to relax my mind and my body and I really have felt more at home myself with a lot more peaceful.
  • The next few things I have been doing have been to look after my skin. First I have gotten into a proper skincare routine and have been properly cleaning my skin and using face masks which really helps to purify your skin and keep your pores clear etc. I have also been making an effort to moisturise. If you know me you know I am the worst at this even though I have really dry skin. I am just too lazy and hate it but I have recently been making an effort and it has made the biggest difference to my skin. My skin feels so much better and is a lot clearer and it looking a lot healthier. Similarly, I have been drinking plenty of water and have started trying to eat better. I don’t diet because I don’t believe them. I do make sure I eat a balanced diet and still enjoy to eat pizza and chocolate etc. However, limiting the fatty food really does help to clear your skin and really does help keep your skin clear and healthy.  Eating right does make a huge difference not only to your skin but how your body feels and towards your energy levels.
  • The last thing I will mention post is that I have really just been trying so hard to let go and worry less and be selfish. I have recently removed so many toxic people from my life and removed so many friendships and relationships with people which has been so incredibly hard. It has however, in the end made me a much happier person and I really do feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders. I did feel really guilty to start off with and terrible for admitting that but I have got use to it and I have noticed a difference in my mood. I have started to worry less and care less about things. If isn’t going to matter, don’t stress over it. Worrying and stressing doesn’t help and only makes you feel worse. It is hard but as soon as you are able to let go of your problems and not carry them around with you every second of the day you can go out, live in the moment and enjoy yourself.

I hope this has started to help some of you who are perhaps feeling like I am at the moment. It does get better and time does help whether you believe it or not eventually everything will work out the way it is meant to. Everything happens for a reason so don’t stress it too much. Believe in yourself and have faith in your ability and your love and that will be enough, I promise you that. These difficult times are made to build us up and strengthen us and your attitude throughout the worst times in your life says more about you than you will ever realise. People do love you and do care for you and it is okay to struggle and having a difficult time. It is okay to be sad and angry or frustrated. It is okay to have a bad day and feel low. It is okay to be worried about your insecurities. It is OKAY!! You have a choice. You can live trying to met everyone else’s expectation and therefore failing or you can choose to ignore everyone and love yourself and do what makes you happy and live the life you deserve because even in your darkest of days life is still what you make it and you still have to make the most of the situation. Try and see the positives and be optimistic. Don’t hold grudges and don’t hold onto past hurt. Forgive and let go. Don’t keep that anger inside of you. Take time to care for yourself and do whatever you need to love and care for your body the way you do. You are so lucky to have the body you do and we all have insecurities and we always want to change something but it is important to appreciate your body and mind and take care of them. It really make the biggest difference and changed your life and lifestyle.

Summer TAG

Hello!!

Today I thought it would be a good idea to do the summer TAG, since we are in the middle of the summer season now.

  • Are you a summer person? – I do believe I am a summer person. I love the summer season and the warmer weather. I love being in the sun, having BBQ’s, spending evenings out chatting with friends and family. I just love the summer season because I can be outside more and spend more time doing things I love.
  • What is your favourite thing about the summer? – Erm there are so many amazing things I love about the summer season but my favourite thing is probably the fact that I can spend lots of time outside. I can go on lovely country walks, go on boats, have BBQ’s, summer outdoor parties, picnics and all that really fun stuff.
  • Do you stay indoors or outdoors more in the summer? – Definitely outdoors! I love making the most of the weather because if you live in the UK you know it isn’t that great too often haha!
  • What is your favourite ice cream flavour? – I am definitely a fan of chocolate ice cream. I love it! So anything with chocolate but I normally will get chocolate and hazelnut or something like that.
  • What is your favourite summer clothing? – My to go two pieces I have been wearing this summer so far have been a denim skirt and also playsuits. I love them both so much and they are just so comfy and cute. You can dress both up with some heels but you can also dress them both down with sandals.
  • Beach or Swimming pool? I am 100% more of a pool kind of a girl!
  • What do you like most about the beach? – Swimming in the sea.
  • What is your least favourite thing about the beach? – My issue with going on sunbathing holidays or being on the beach all the time is that I get bored. I am a very proactive person and love being busy and I just enjoy exploring. So, I am fine with relaxing on a beach for a couple of hours reading a book and swimming in the sea but after that I will want to get up and go explore.
  • What is your favourite summertime song? – I honestly don’t know. I don’t think I have one summer song. In the summer, I just like listening to lots of happy, upbeat music.
  • Favourite summer time movie? – Again, I don’t really know although I do love watching RV in the summer because I think it is a hilarious and could completely imagine it happening to my family when on holiday.
  • What is your favourite summertime restaurant? – In the summer, I really enjoy going to quaint and quiet villages and just sitting outside of a pub enjoying some food, having a drink and also having a laugh and chatting with my friends, boyfriend and family.
  • Do you or eat out more often during the summer? – It is still pretty mixed in the summer but I would say I eat out slightly more because of making the most of enjoying the weather and dining al fresco.
  • Do you party a lot during the summer? – No more than usual I would say but I would say I go to a lot more gatherings with friends and BBQs and go to the pub more and sit outside for drinks a lot more.
  • Do you spend more money during the summer? – Yes! In the summer, I constantly go on more days out and more trips. Go to the pub more and spend money on food and BBQs etc.
  • Who do you usually spend most of your summer with? – Family, boyfriend and friends.
  • Where would you go for your dream summer vacation? – Bora Bora!!!

Going Through The Emotions…

Hello everyone!

It appears to be the longest time since I have sat down and have written a blog post and that makes me so sad but in all honesty, I have just been so busy with life and as the title says going through all the emotions. If you read my blog quite regularly you will notice over the past couple of months I have been quite absent and haven’t been posting as frequently as what I usually do.  Truthfully, I just haven’t written much on here because I am definitely one of those people who won’t rush content and just put something up because I need to. No. I will only ever upload something if I feel 100% happy and proud of what I have done and these past couple of months I have been going through a really hard time and I just haven’t felt inspired to write or felt the need. I just wanted to keep things to myself and not put up content that I wasn’t proud of or happy with.

I know this may not appear to be the case because I have been on holiday so much these past couple of months and if you follow me on my Twitter or Instagram all you will have been seeing is my holiday photos and a rather happy me. However, that doesn’t mean I don’t have things going on behind closed doors. I post the things I do on my Instagram and Twitter because it makes me feel happy and it makes me feel better. Also, just because I only share the happy and positive moments in my life, doesn’t make me fake it just means I want to keep some privacy against some of the personal things that are going on in my life. Therefore, I don’t want to be positing about them and thus I won’t be going into detail about them on here. I just wanted to make this post as sort of an update post.

I know everyone goes through tough times and everyone is fighting their own battles that none of us are aware of so I know it is so important to always just be kind and respectful to everyone. You never know what they are going through. Life isn’t easy and even though I have taken a break from blogging I know it was the right decision and has definitely help keep some space and clear my mind and thoughts. It has been so important for me to have just switched off from everything and distance myself from everyone so I could figure out for myself what I really wanted without getting influenced by others.

Having hit the lowest point of the last couple of the months the other day, I have finally decided that it is time to move on from all this and help myself and get myself back to where I was. It isn’t always easy when you feel like the world is against you and if any of you have bad luck, like I do, when something goes wrong for me, everything goes wrong all at the same time! I know that everything happens for a reason and what will be will be.  Life challenges you to make you stronger and to give your experience and lessons which will ultimately be very important. I know that even in these difficult times I am very lucky and everything will work out okay in the end, it just takes time. Meanwhile I just need to look after myself and put myself first and love who I am and focus on doing what makes me happy and what I love. Therefore, I hope you return to blogging as usual and to just be filling my life with lots of love and laughter and to make those dark days just a little brighter.

For any of you who have been feeling like me and have been going through some difficult times I just want you to know you are not alone, everything happens for a reason and everything will be okay in the end. You just to have to believe and give the situation time and be patient with yourself and also give yourself time to recover and become stronger.

So, on a happier note, I have decided to just take control of everything and try and move forward the best I can.  It won’t be easy and it will take time but I do want to return to blogging so I hope you can just be patient with me a little longer while I get back into this and I can’t wait to be making content again. I have missed talking and chatting with you all. Also, if you have any suggestions for posts you would like to see then please them below in the comments because I am always looking for new and interesting ideas.

Today I want to share with you some of my photos from my trip to Vienna. Honestly I have tried to cut down the photos but there are just so many I want to share with you all. Luckily though I did manage to not include them all! I had the most amazing time sightseeing and exploring the city. We went to so many palaces, parliament, cathedrals, museums and even visited the film festival too. Vienna really was so beautiful and the buildings are honestly so stunning and massive. Most of the time you couldn’t even get the whole building in the photo! The city centre was stunning and of course we had to stop to do some shopping. We visited lots of local cafes and restaurants and some of the best cake and ice cream ever. It tasted SOOOOOO GOOD!! We actually stayed in a small apartment on the Danube Canal and it was so pretty and quaint. It really wasn’t that far from the centre but was so much cheaper than staying in the centre and was so worth it. Unfortunately, as you will know if you follow me on instagram, I did get food poisoning whilst I was there which was awful but I still had a fabulous trip! Vienna is seriously one of the most beautiful cities I have ever visited and I enjoyed all of it and have some of the most amazing memories to look back on!!

Marriage, YouTube and Bullies???

Hello everyone!!

Today I am answering some of the most frequently asked questions that I recieve. I hope this answers a few things and you enjoy! I always find these posts super fun!

  • Do you ever want to get married? – As a little girl, for sure. I definitely wanted to and even now I know that eventually I want to get married I am just far more sceptical and cynical. As you grow up you realise that things are not like the movies and there are lots of crazy situations that happen in life. I do want to but I know it’s huge commitment and I would be so scared of things going wrong, but yes one day I would love to get married.
  • What is your top/dress size? – I am a UK size 10 in pretty much everything, occasionally an 8 in tops.
  • Do you have any diet plans/tips? – If you have been reading my blog for a while you will know that I have struggled with my weight my entire life and now I don’t like to think of eating healthy as dieting and I know I won’t diet again because it just doesn’t work for me and it messed up a lot of things. So, for me, the best advice I can give is to eat everything in moderation; eat the correct size portions, make sure you are eating healthy and balanced diet making sure you are getting all your nutrients etc and that you are exercising and listening to do your body. Also, don’t forget to drink plenty of water!!!
  • What do you enjoy doing in your spare time? – I really don’t get that much spare time when at university and working but now summer is here I am looking forward to consistently blogging, reading, exercising, travelling and spending time with my favourite people.
  • What do you value the most in life? – I value people who love me and respect me and are honest with me. People who bring out the best in me and really want to enjoy life and be positive Oh and of course someone who can make me laugh and smile.
  • What do you do? – At the moment, I am a full-time student studying History at the university of Leicester and I am also a part time athlete at Nike.
  • What is my dream job? – My dream job would be an entrepreneur and have my own business or to be a successful author… one of those. Both would be ideal!
  • What are some of your top tips for being a teenager? – Just know that your teenage years don’t last forever so don’t worry and stress out and enjoy them. School doesn’t last forever. Don’t get caught up in trying to be popular it isn’t worth. I know how hard it is these days with social medias and getting likes and followers etc but trust me those people who are popular in school and you think you want to be like you really don’t. My boyfriend and I were chatting about this the other day and we were saying how irrelevant your popularity in school is as soon as you leave school. The girls who use to get all the attention from the lads and were getting hundreds of likes on their profile photos and Instagram photos, maybe be get like 10 these days. Honestly popularity doesn’t last forever and people move on from school and things change and you meet new people so don’t stress about it. Funny story here… I was in this tutor group with this guy for 5 years he even asked me out, which I politely declined, anyway added me back on snapchat the other week for him to send me a snapchat asking who I was. Hello!! I was in your tutor group for 5 years and saw you every day for 5 years. So awkward! Anyway, point to the story I clearly wasn’t popular and apparently not even remembered but I am and have someone who loves me and it just doesn’t’ matter. In fact, people even come to realise how much nicer and more beautiful and attractive you are in your own way.
  • Did you know what you wanted to do? – I didn’t know what I wanted to do and I still don’t know what I want to do. Which I guess is one of the reason I wish I had taken a year off and properly considered my options but nevertheless I am still enjoying university.
  • What are some of your top tips for friendships and relationships? – Friendships and relationships are a lot of effort but they are the best thing to put time and effort into and invest in. I am one of those of people who cannot be bothered with those people who put minimal effort in their friendships and just don’t take the time to care and love you. I am for sure one of those people who give 100% to everything including friendships and relationships. So, don’t waste your time on toxic friendships and relationships or surround yourself for negativity.  Just be yourself, be relaxed and chilled. Let your friends and partner do them and you do you. Don’t try and change anyone of let people change you. You be who you are and the right people will love you for who you are. Also having a select few friends that you can definitely count on his so much better than having a tonne of friends who have sometimes got your back.
  • What would you like to say to your 14-year-old self? – DON’T STRESS! Nothing lasts forever so don’t stress and worry about things. It is a waste of time and doesn’t help anything. If it isn’t going to matter in 5 years’ time then don’t stress or worry about it. It just makes you miserable and grumpy and stresses you out for no apparent reason. You start to get so confused and overthink everything and then it just goes downhill from there.
  • How did you deal with bullies in school? – I actually have a post all about my bullying experience so check that if you haven’t already because it explains everything but my main piece of advice would be to not give people satisfaction of letting them know they are getting you and annoying/upsetting you. Even though it will hurt and you will be sad for some reason bullies thrive off knowing they have achieved it so don’t give them the satisfaction and turn a blind eye to it as best you can. Some people will do anything to see you fail and fall and bullies love that. The less attention you pay to them the less they become interested in targeting you because they don’t get a reaction from it and so they don’t see the point in it.
  • Did you ever find it difficult finding out who you were? – YES! Omg it is so difficult. Especially in school because that is such a confusing time. Even to this day I am trying to figure out who I am because every day we are changing, growing and developing as humans. So, I am still struggling to figure out who I am and it is confusing and difficult. Just let it take its natural course and don’t worry and stress out. Everything will fall into place eventually.
  • Why don’t you make YouTube videos? – I do have a channel with some videos up but I don’t think anyone watches them or will watch them or find me interesting.
