Pretty in Pink

Hello lovelies!

Since it has been spring and summer finally feels like it might be coming here in the UK I have really been enjoying pink. I think that pink is such a beautiful spring time colour and so I have been obsessed with creating a pink eyeshadow makeup look and also I have been enjoying wearing a little bit of pink on my lips. So today I am just sharing the products which have been my go to throughout spring.

First I have the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette. I have mentioned this before and I am obsessed with this palette right now! I mean if you don’t like pink toned eyeshadows then you won’t like this palette but I think it’s gorgeous and has some beautiful shades with a good mix of shimmer and matte shades. It’s just the perfect palette for creating a pink look!

Next I have my Chanel lip gloss. I have been into wearing gloss recently and I am not sure why. I have either being wearing this one its own or I have been layering this on top of a lipstick. Either way, it looks incredible. Chanel products are obviously expensive but I think they are definitely worth the money! The quality is fantastic and the packaging is so beautiful. So simplistic and classy yet so effective!

Still on lips, as an alternative and for the days when I am feeling braver, I have this Rimmel Kate Moss lipstick. I am say for the days when I am feeling brave because it is super bright! It is a lovely bright pink and looks great with bronzed skin or natural tan and is definitely spring/summer ready. If you have been reading my blog for a while, you will know that I really rate the Rimmel Kate Moss lipsticks. They are drugstore so really affordable but the quality is phenomenal and very comparable to higher end lipsticks. I love them!

For nails I have been obsessed with the Sally Hansen Miracle Gel nail varnishes. I actually have had these for while now but I still love them. They are a great alternative to not going to get a manicure, which we all know is super expensive, and last so long. So if you are low maintenance with your nails then definitely check these out. You apply your colour of choice and I must say they are so pigmented and then apply a top coat and wait to dry. So easy but they look so good!

Other things I have been reaching for is my ever favourite rose gold Michael Kors watch. I love this watch so much, especially in spring and summer. I think it is just so perfect for the seasons and finishes your look off perfectly. Also, I just included one of my favourite mascaras – the L’Oreal Miss Manga Mega Volume Black Angel Mascara. I love this mascara! It creates insane volume without being clumpy and really lengthens and lifts your lashes too. What more could you want from a mascara? LOVE it!!

Hope you have all enjoyed seeing my favourite pink makeup bits and pieces for the spring and summer seasons. I just think they are such as great time to wear a bit more pink and add a little colour to your makeup. Thank you for reading. Much love,

Huge Autumnal Haul!

Hey guys!

It has seriously been ages since I lasted posted anything! I cannot believe how long it has been since I have spoken to you all. I have seriously missed blogging and chatting with you all so much but I have just been so incredibly busy! So how are you all doing? What’s been going on?

For me, I have been super busy with my university assignments. I have had so many due in a such a short space of time that I have been busy writing and researching them and now I have submitted them I am just waiting for some feedback so I hope they have all gone well! Also I got my first ever piercings and so that was a really exciting but scary experience too and I am pleased to say that I love them all and think they look pretty good so I am well happy with them! I have been crazy busy at work and been doing lots of hours so I haven’t had much time to relax but it’s all worth it in the end. I have actually also just started designing a jewellry line and a homeware line and hope to have them launched quite soon so fingers crossed for that! I am actually really super excited about these designs and have been working really hard on them. Erm what else has been going on? I feel like so much has happened that there is just too much to tell you all. Uni life is going really well and I am enjoying myself and made plenty of great new friends. If you want to see what I am up to daily just check out my snapchat or instagram because I pretty much update those all the time! But anyway enough about my rambling and let’s get on into the haul because otherwise I could write all day to tell you what’s been happening recently.

I know I said I am going to do a univeristy series and believe I will get around to that eventually, but I just thought I would do a haul today because I have been shopping a lot recently and I just thought I would do a haul whilst all the things I have purchased are new in the shops so if you should want to buy any of them, then it would still be possible for you to do so!

For beauty I have done a bit of shopping although I feel recently I have done more clothes shopping, since I have lost some weight, but nevertheless I still purchased a few things!

  • The Rimmel match perfection foundation – I actually just re-purchased this because I had ran out of my other one and needed a new foundation although I would like to branch out and try a new foundation so let me know if you have any recommendations for good foundations because I am positive that there are plenty on the market!

  • Maybelline lash sensational mascara – I was just wondering around the beauty counter and I have heard for ages great reviews about this mascara so just thought I would buy it and see what I thought, since quite a few people to rave about it!

  • Rimmel Wake me up concealer – Again, many people have raved about this being a good concealer and I was in need of a new concealer so thought I would give this a try and see what I thought to it. I am still on the lookout for good high coverage concealers so let me know if you have recommendation for any of them.

  • Maybelline brow pencil and spoolie – Normally I just fill my brows in with powder but recently I thought i would branch out and try a pencil and see what I prefer. So far I have been liking the pencil so I am going to continue using and see how my opinion develops.

  • Zoeva Makeup brushes – Although I look my makeup brushes I currently use and there definitely is nothing wrong with I have just wanted these rose gold Zoeva makeup brushes for ages and so I finally decided to purchase some and OMG I love them. I have yet to use them since they only arrived this afternoon but I am in love with how cute and pretty the look. Definitely one of my favourite beauty purchases.
  • Next Just Pink perfume – If you know me, you know I love perfume and I am also very sentimental over my perfumes too. I have quite a few bottles of perfume but they are very expensive bottles and were all brought for me with some meaning or memory behind them and so I kind of don’t ever want to run out of them, even though of course I know that’s going to happen. So to preserve my other perfumes’ lives I purchased this one from Next for everyday wear and it smells incredible and is really well priced and lasts well. Definitely have really enjoyed wearing this as my autumn scent.

I was definitely in need of some new pieces in my wardrobe, especially since I have lost some weight recently and I just feel like fall always has the nicest bits and pieces and so had a wander down to the shops. I don’t know about you but fall and winter fashion is definitely my favourite, let me know your favourite season for fashion in the comments!

  • Adidas Superstars originals – I am not even going to lie but these are probably my favourite thing I have purchased recently. I have wanted a pair of these for absolutely forever and always wear black trainers or shoes so just thought why not and brought a pair and OMG they were such a good decision! They are so comfy and I have literally lived in them since I purchased them three weeks ago. I think I have worn them everyday since!

  • Nike sports bras – I have been getting a lot more into fitness recently and getting into a fitness routine and have been really enjoying so I thought it was a good idea to treat myself to some new sports bras and so I picked up these two. I love them both and they are really comfy and supportive and are great for exercising and feeling and looking great.
  • Nike tank top – On the workout theme I picked up this tank from Nike also. I thought it was so adorable and cute and just love the back. I figured if I brought a few new pieces it would keep me inspired to workout and also I would feel great too which is really essential when working out because you want to feel good about yourself.
  • Nike leggings – Again because of my increased involvement in fitness and now it has dropped incredibly cold here in the UK, because let me tell you it is absolutely freezing, I brought some leggings so I could still go on runs even now in the colder months. I am actually going to train for a half marathon so wish me luck with that one everyone!
  • Primark pack of ankle socks – I just needed some new ones and I thought these looked super cute with all the autumnal colours! They are super expensive and a necessity for me because I live in trainers!
  • Primark cold shoulder turtleneck – Let me first just say Primark has got some really lovely autumnal bits and pieces in and I was so impressed. I love the colours and design of this top and it looks super cute paired with a paired of blacked ripped knee jeans or some blue jeans too. Love it!
  • Primark striped turtleneck – If you cannot tell I have a thing for turtleneck jumpers in the winter and thought this one was super cute. I love the pattern and colours used and just think this will go really nice with a pair of black high waisted jeans and some trainers or ankle boots.

  • Primark checked scarf – I absolutely loves scarves and my collection is far too big but I just loved the pattern of this one. In fact it matches the striped turtleneck jumper so well and go i think it would look really good paired with some black high waisted jeans, ankle boots, a leather jacket, that jumper and scarf. Definitely going to be a go to outfit for me. They are super well priced at £4 and really big and thick and cosy.

  • Primark gloves – I just picked these up because they were two pairs for £1 and and I didn’t think you could go wrong with some black gloves especially now its the winter. I really don’t want cold hands haha.

  • Primark Black high waisted ripped knee skinny jeans – I have wanted a pair of these for so long and since my old jeans are too big for me now I thought this was the perfect opportunity to buy some news one. I love these jeans, they fit really well which I was really surprised about but super happy with and were only £10. Definitely worth buying. I also purchased a pair of plain black high waisted skinny jeans too which were £8.
  • Primark Blue denim high waisted skinny jeans – If you know, you know I pretty much live in black jeans so I decided to buy some different jeans and brought these blue jeans and I actually really like them and feel comfortable wearing them. Would definitely recommend Primark jeans!
  • Boohoo black dress – My friends birthday has just been and I wanted a new dress to wear for it and so I had a little browse on Boohoo. I did buy another dress but it was too big so I need to try and return it. However, I am in love with this dress. The detailing is so pretty, it is halterneck with an open back with just two spaghetti straps to keep the dress on in place. It is all laced on the front with some cut out detailing and is fitted into the waist and then flows out. I really love this dress and it is so comfortable and easy to wear. I think it was £22 so I was  a good price too!
  • Primark bralettes – The last things I purchased with a few bralettes. Before these I actually didn’t own a single bralette but now I am so glad I do because they are so comfy. What I particularly like about these ones are the fact they are still padded so you get coverage still which I personally prefer. They are so super pretty and really comfortable on and really inexpensive. I think three of them were £4 and the the black which is laced all over the front was £8. Definitely worth checking out.

I hope you have all enjoyed this little haul and have seen a few bits that you like. There are seriously some lovely autumnal pieces out in the shops! Let me know what you think in the comments down below and I will see you all very shortly. Love ya all!!

Beauty Haul

Hey guys!

How are you all doing today? The weather has been gorgeous recently here in the UK and I have definitely been loving my time outdoors in the sun. This means I have been going out a lot more and making the most of the nice weather. I have recently been on a shopping trip and just purchased a few items which I am going to share with you today. I am going to show you the beauty products I purchased but I did get a few fashion items and room decor things too so let me know if you want to them in another haul too, but for now I will just show you the beauty products.

nivea edit

First thing I picked up was this cream face wash by Nivea. I believe I have mentioned this in a previous blog post because I have already used this and I am in love! I LOVE it. It smells amazing, it feels amazing on the skin and is really soft and gentle and best of all it leaves your skin looking great! I think it may have over took my ever so favourite Neutrogena face wash which I have used everyday for as I can remember!

wipes edit

Next thing I picked up are some Nivea face wipes. I got two packs: one for normal skin and one for sensitive. My skin is normal so I can just use those but sometimes I prefer the sensitive ones if I am wearing a lot of eye makeup so I picked both up and look forward to using them. I do only use face wipes to take my makeup off when travelling or if I have been super busy and not got time to do a full skincare routine because it’s late.

dry shampoo edit

A while back, most of you will remember that I mentioned I had brought some Aussie dry shampoo, however,I unfortunately, have not gotten along with this product too well. The texture and the feel of your hair after use is something which I just don’t particularly like. The thing I do like about it is the insane amount of volume it leaves in your hair. For this reason I have decided to revert back to the Batiste dry shampoo and so brought a new can ready for travelling and use when I can’t be bothered to wash my hair, because lets face it we sometimes just cannot be bothered to wash our hair when it needs doing but this solves all our problems.

lee stafford edit

Another thing I purchased was some Lee Stafford heat protection spray. I don’t usually use one and yes I know it’s terrible for your hair. I am just lazy haha. Plus I don’t really apply heat to my hair that often. Anyway, I decided I needed to take better care of my hair and so purchased this spray to use before applying any heat.

shine spray edit

Speaking of hair products I purchased a Herbal Essences shine spray.Basically when I purchased this I was just intrigued with the product and if it makes my hair looks shiny then that’s a bonus because I always find my hair looks healthier when it shines more. So I am excited to give this try and see if it makes my hair appear more shiny.

concealer edit

I was in desperate ned of a concealer and my shade in the Collection concealer was out of stock so I went into another shop and saw this W7 one. If any of your know the brand W7 you know it is really inexpensive, however, the other products I have tried by them and have worked fine. Therefore,I opted for one of their concealers and I got a brightening one as well as one which actually matches my skin tone so I am excited to use these and see how they last and apply and will definitely update you incase any of you are interested in buying them since they only cost like £1.99.

foundation edit

If you have been reading for a while now you will know I avoid foundation for everyday wear, however, I still needed one for those special occasions or date nights haha. I had heard good reviews about this Rimmel foundation and many people have raved about this so I thought I would give it a try. I have yet to use it but when I do I will be sure to let you know what I think. I am very keen to formulate my own opinions on this product and the price is very reasonable so fingers crossed it’s as good as all the reviews I have heard.

falsie edit

Last beauty product I purchased was some more Elegant Touch nails. You all know how obsessed I am with these and how much I rave about them so I have just bought a pack ready to put on before I go to London so I don’t have to worry about doing my nails!

That’s all the beauty products I have purchased! I really hope you have enjoyed this post and thank you so much for reading. Let me know in the products if you have tried any of the things I have purchased and your opinions too. Also, let me know if you want to see a fashion and homeware haul and I will be sure to do that for you! Thank you so very much and I will see you very soon!

July Favourites

Hello everyone!

Where has July gone? It has come and gone by so quick. However, with the start of a new month comes a new ‘favourites’ post for the previous month so today I am going to share all my favourite from the month of July. This just includes all the products I used daily and enjoyed using.

  1. Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette – This goes without saying I think! You all know how much I rave about Too Faced and I really do love this eyeshadow palette so much. I have been reaching for it daily and is so versatile and can create so many different looks. Definitely a must for me. I think this perhaps might have been in my last favourites. Love it so much!
  2. Game of Thrones book – With lots of stressful things happening and also wit me being poorly I have just really enjoyed reading in my spare time as a distraction and of course there is no better book series to enjoy except maybe Harry Potter, I’m not sure between the two haha!
  3. Mason Jar drinking Cup – This was super inexpensive, in fact it cost me 69 pence! I only brought it towards the end of the month so that will also be featuring in my haul which is coming soon but I have been loving having my drink in this. So summery and cool and it looks totally instagram worthy, especially if you  add some fruit to your water like lemon. Really nice and refreshing on warm summer days with great benefits for you too!
  4. Benefit Roller Lash mascara – Since I have been really quite poorly recently and just starting the recovery process now, I haven’t felt like putting on much makeup to go out with at all. The Roller Lash mascara has been seriously been a necessity in this situation. Other than mascara I have not been wearing any other eye makeup and although I do have long eyelashes generally this mascara has really helped lift them and make them look even longer and opened up my eyes to try and make me look better than what I feel. I do love how this mascara looks at my lashes.
  5. Elegant Touch False nails – Again probably no surprise as I have raved about these too but I have loved them. They wear and last so long.I was so impressed. They look lovely on as well and has just made my nails far less maintenance which is what I really needed. Definitely would recommend these!
  6. Guess flip flops – With the summer getting warmer I love just wearing sandals and these are my go to. Simple and white they are easy to pair with anything and are super comfortable. Just been wearing them pretty much most days if I have left the house.
  7. Nivea face cream wash – Again quite a new purchase towards the end of the month but it has over taken my ever so loved Neutrogena face wash.I love how creamy and smooth this. It feels lovely on the skin and is really soft and gentle so if you have sensitive skin definitely give this a try! Just is a lovely face wash and leave your skin feeling super soft and clean!
  8. Secret Nation – I have loved listening to music by Secret Nation this month. I have found it really relaxing and soothing and do really like the music. They make me feel a lot happier and has featured heavily on my playlist this month!

Thanks so much for reading everyone! I really hope you had a great month in July and be sure to let me know what you loved throughout the month and I will see you tomorrow! Bye!

Life hacks for lazy girls

Hey guys!

Sorry for the late post but today has been crazy and I just haven’t had a moment to myself but I still wanted to get a post up for you. So this post is just going to be a life hacks for lazy girls. I hope you enjoy!

  1. Tape for eyeliner – Want the perfect winged eyeliner. Just place some tape where you want your wing to go and draw you line and then remove your tape and then you will have the perfect wing
  2. Contour – A simple way to get your contour on point is to follow the shape of a number around your face. Starting at the edge of your forehead and following it around until just below your cheek bone and then following the edge of your face again and down you jaw bone.
  3. Eyelash curler to create perfect eyeliner line – This is a sure good for saving time. Put a line of eye liner on the inside edge of your eyelash curler and then when you curl your eyelashes the eyeliner prints on creating a perfect line.
  4. Card to stop your mascara from ruining your eye shadow – Your eye shadow is looking perfect and then all of sudden your mascara prints off from application. Ruined! To simply stop that happening just place a piece of card between your eyelashes and eyelid and all excess mascara will print off onto the card instead of your eye shadow.
  5. Foundation too dark? – We’ve all accidentally brought a shade of foundation too dark for our skin but tit doesn’t have to be a waste of money. Just add a bit of your everyday moisturiser to it to lighten it up.
  6. Runs in tights – This has happened to us all. Just spray a squirt of hairspray to stop them spreading.
  7. Want the appearance of thicker hair? Apply a little eye shadow (on of which matches your hair colour) to your roots and parting and it instantly makes your hair look thicker.
  8. Translucent powder over lips – Such a simple tip to make your lipstick last longer throughout the day. Powdering your lips before applying lipstick keeps your lipstick lasting longer!

Thanks for much for reading and I hoped you enjoyed. Hope you have all had a lovely day/evening and I will see you tomorrow.

To buy or not to buy?#2

Hi everyone!

I hope you are all having a lovely day/evening and today I have my second post in the series ‘To buy or not to buy?’. If you haven’t seen my first one you can check it out just here, but in the post today I am going to be sharing my opinions on the Elegant Touch nails.

I have been wanting to try false nails again for ages because my nails have been quite short recently and I have missed having long nails. However, I would walk and look at the false nails and then just keep walking. This was because last time I tried false nails within an hour I was soaking them off. I just couldn’t handle them! I found myself getting frustrated because I couldn’t do anything with them on haha! Anyway, I was in boots the other day and my boyfriend told me to pick some up and try them since I had been looking at them for ages and so I did. I decided on the Elegant Touch ones, one because they are self adhesive tabs so there is no messing with glue and secondly because I had heard great reviews about them.

Well what can I say? I LOVE them! They come in variety of shape and sizes which is nice because I have small nails so sometimes find it hard to find ones that fit. They’re a really good length and even come with a nail file for if you want to file them down anymore (I chose not to though). The application of the nails is super simple and they are so easy to apply. All you have to do is place the right sized adhesive tab to your nail and then select the right size nail, peel off the sticker on the adhesive tab and apply the nail to the top and then apply a bit of pressure to secure them.

I have been really impressed with the nails. Not only did I love all the other things which I have just mentioned, I can still do everything I would normally and haven’t been stuck not been able to do things which I was worried about. Also they are super long lasting. Mine have been on a while and are still doing good and haven’t come off yet. I did purchase some nail glue as well for when they eventually do start coming off, that means I can use some glue to stick them back on with. Another option is in the first place you can just apply glue and not use the adhesive tabs, however, I personally find the application with the adhesive tabs the easiest and so brought glue as a back up in case the odd one starts to fall off.

I have been really pleasantly surprised with these nails and so glad I picked them up. I would definitely recommend these false nails to anyone as they are super easy, long lasting and look really lovely on. They are also are not super expensive; I think mine were either £5/6.

nail edit

Thank you so much for reading everyone. I hope you have enjoyed this review and have found it helpful. Until tomorrow, bye guys!

Beauty Blogger Tag!

Hi everyone!

I hope you are all having a lovely day or evening and today I am going to answer the questions to the beauty blogger tag!I hope this gives you some insights into my preferences and tells you a little bit more about me!

  1. Is your hair naturally curly or straight? – My hair is naturally very curly although it use o be a lot curlier when I was younger. It isn’t quite as curly as it use to be but still curly!
  2. What is your natural hair hair colour?  – My natural hair colour is blonde.
  3. Do you dye it yourself or go to a salon? – Neither because I have never dyed my hair but I guess if I was going to dye my hair then the salon.

  5. Do you wear the same style everyday or change it? – It really depends. It depends on the weather, whether it first/second/third day hair or what I am doing. It is really warm outside or if it is raining/windy then my hair will up in either a braid or some bun. If it is first day hair 95% of the time I have it down either wavy or straight. With second and third day hair I tend to put up or half up half down styles. If I am not doing anything at all or not doing much then something lazy like a loose braid or messy bun but obviously I do my hair if I have somewhere to go or something special planned.
  6. Do you do your own manicure/pedicure or got a salon? – My own. Definitely!

  11. Do you “collect” makeup or just buy what you need? – A bit of both really. Although I tend to only collect eye shadow palettes and lip products.
  12. How often do you wear false eyelashes? – Never.I have never wore them.
  13. Do you do a full face of makeup everyday? – No. Some days I won’t wear any makeup at all, most days I will just do my simple everyday makeup and occasionally do some fancy makeup to go out with.
  14. Do you wear makeup when you are home alone (or with family)? – Very rarely.
  15. Will you leave the house without makeup on? – Yes! If I am just going to get groceries, running errands or going to the gym then I don’t take the time to do my makeup.
  16. How many high end products do you own? – My collection is a fairly even split between drug store and high end. Most high end products own or Urban Decay, Too Faced, Benefit, mac, Elizabeth Arden etc but I would say my collection is 50/50.
  17. How often do you wash your makeup brushes? – Nowhere near as often as I should do!
  18. Do you plan your OOTD every night or decide when you are getting ready? – Usually I will just pick it out in the morning depending on how I feel and the weather!
  19. How often do you change your handbag? – It really depends on where I am going or what I am doing.
  20. What time do you get up and go to bed? I usually go to sleep between 12-12:30 but recently have been going to sleep at 4:30am for some unknown reason and get up between 7:30-8:00 every day unless I can have a lie in and then that will be to 9-9:30.

  27. Do you read the comments posted on your blogs? – Yes! All of them.
  28. What is your favourite colour? – Purple.
  29. How often do you clean your house? – I tidy bits up everyday but properly clean once a week.
  30. What are you doing with the rest of your day? – Relaxing!

Thank you so much for reading everyone. I hope you all enjoyed finding out more about me and I hope you all answer these questions on your blogs so I can go and check out what your preferences are what you like to do! Until next time, bye!

Gel Manicure at Home

colour changes editedit cleanserlamp editvarnish edit

Hello Everyone!

I hope you are doing well and today I am going to share my experience of doing a gel manicure at home. I am one of those people that loves having their nails painted and done but hates going to get them done and so always avoids going and ends up painting them. Although I do like painting my nails as I change the colour often sometimes I just wish I could have gels nails because they last so much longer and are so much less maintenance.  With this in mind I went and brought a lamp and some gel nail varnishes and gave it a try.

The products I used was the Mylee nail lamp, a base coat,a top coat, blue sky nail varnish (this is so cool as it changes colour depending on how warm my hands are!) and some nail cleanser. I will leave links to all the items I used at the end in case you want to check them out.

Anyway I was surprised with how simple this was to do. It was really simple, quick and they are lasting so good! The Lamp is really simple to use and comes with two settings (120 seconds setting and an unlimited one so you can turn it off and on when you want). Personally I always just use the 120 seconds timer.

Firs thing I do is just take a bit of cleanser and a cotton wool pad and rub it all over my nails to make sure they are all clean and free of any previous nail varnish I didn’t remove with the nail varnish remover. After that I just give my nails a quick file into shape if they need it and then it is on to painting my nails.

So I paint my nails one hand at a time. So I will put a layer of the base coat on my nails and place under the lamp for 120 seconds (and it dries in this time – its so good!!) then I will apply a layer of the colour I am using, in this case blue sky, and place that under for 120 seconds. If a second coat is needed I will then apply another coat and place it under the lamp again for another 120 seconds to finally a place a top coat on my nails and set it for another 120 seconds. I then repeat these exact same steps on my other hand.

Honestly this so super easy and quick and I look the quality and finish I get and how long lasting they are. It’s so nice not having to redo your nails or touching them up every other day because they chipped. Plus I never get tired of making my nails change colours haha! (They’re purple when I am cold and bright blue when I am warm)

Overall, I was really impressed with how easy it was to do gel nails and have invested in some other colours to give them  ago. If you’re a bit like me and like low maintenance but don’t like going to salon to pay the money like every three weeks when they need doing this is a good alternative for you because once you have brought the lamp and a base and top coat you can steadily build your colour choices of varnishes up gradually. I really enjoyed doing these and would definitely recommend giving them a try!

Thank you so much for reading everyone and I hoped you all enjoyed reading about my experience of doing a gel manicure at home. I will see you in the next guys!
