Makeup Haul

 

Hi Guys!

Today I am back with a  makeup haul. I have recently been doing quite a bit of shopping ready for holidays and have purchased a few new makeup products. I am super excited to try all of these product and can’t wait to try a variety of makeup looks using them.

First thing I purchased was the Urban Decay Naked 2 palette. I currently own the Naked 3 palette and love it so much, so I definitely have high expectations for this palette. I haven’t tried this palette yet but first impressions are that I love the packaging (it is very similar to the Naked 3 palette) and the palette consists of a good range of matte and shimmery shades in a variety of colours making this palette very versatile. I am super excited to try this palette out and create some new eye makeup looks!

Before purchasing this product, I hadn’t really heard much of the brand Stila. However, I decided I wanted to branch out and try a variety of different products and purchased the Stila Coconut crush lip and cheek stain. I look forward to trying this product so much especially since it is a brand I haven’t come across a tonne. The packaging is beautiful and simple. I am curious about the application of this product as it is like a felt tip pen where I believe you twist the bottom and then the product comes up to your brush and you apply that way. Additionally, I look forward to trying it not only as lip product but also as a cheek product and seeing what different makeup looks it can create.

Lip products are some of my favourite products to wear and experiment with. With this in mind, I purchased a few new lip products to add my collection. The first two was these two MAC lipsticks. I got them in the shade Lovelorn A05 and Kushikiss A03. I have heard great things about MAC products and these two lipsticks are my very first two MAC products! (WHAT?!?!) They’re a matte finish and I’m super excited to try these and see how they compare to the lipsticks I already own but also I am curious to see how they compare to all the good reviews I have heard from people. My first impressions are that the packaging is lovely and simply and the colours look very pigmented so I hope that is the case when applied! (Fingers crossed!)

My next lip product I purchased was the Rimmel Kate Moss lasting Finish in the shade 20. I love the Rimmel Kate Moss lipsticks and I think they are quite comparable to the higher end lipsticks only a fraction of the price. As I do already own some lipsticks in this range I have expectations for this one and don’t expect it to be any different. I expect that the quality, colour pay off and lasting quality will be up to standard to those that I already own. The packaging for Kate Moss lipsticks are beautiful and this particular colour is a beautiful, vibrant pink suitable for the summer. I look forward to wearing this lipstick through the summer months (if it ever stops raining here in the UK) and usually I stick towards the nude shades in lipstick collections so I am super excited to try something a little different.

My final lip product I brought was the NYX soft matte lip cream. I have already spoke about this product in an earlier post and explained my thoughts and feelings about the product, but to sum up it simply in this post to is that I loved trying and using this product on a daily basis. I had never tried anything like this (a lipstick in a lip gloss formula) but was surprised at how pigmented and beautiful it looked. I have definitely been wearing this a lot since I purchased it not long ago and cannot wait to try out more within the collection. The colour I picked up was in the shade Milan and I also picked my Mum one up one in the shade London and she too has been wearing it everyday and loving it!

My last makeup product of this haul is the Benefit Roller Lash mascara. Again, everyone raves about this but since I naturally have long and dark eyelashes which aren’t thick, I tend to lean towards buying volumnising mascaras. However, having said that people raved about this mascara so much I wanted to see if it lived up to the hype of creating that flawless curled eyelash look. I really recommend Benefit products anyway and love the Benefit They’re real mascara so can’t wait to try this one by Benefit as well. Will it match my high expectations? We will have to wait to find out hehe!
